Why is ZOS's communication with us always so shrouded?

@ZOS_AntonioP I know about the thread. My point is that there is no actual information in it.

@Mako1132 I expect too much of you people... Since my point also went over your head, I'll elaborate.

"An item-related issue introduced with this patch" for which we're "testing the fix" but will only "get a better idea of when we'll be back up" after the fix has been tested is entirely uninformative.

I do not expect bugless patches and instant fixes, but I do expect transparent communication when there are issues. I get so frustrated when we're constantly kept in the dark on these things. ZOS clearly knows what's going on -- they identified an issue serious enough to pull the whole server down, and Jessica has given a precious few clues in her scant updates. Why on earth is it so hard to give us more information as to what's up? Am I the only one who feels this way?

    I honestly don't see why it matters. It doesn't affect whether or not you can play the game. But, to each their own.

    You actually pay for best effort service... not a guaranteed service.
    ZOS are doing their best to resume normal service.

    They dont actually have to tell anyone anything.
    However, some player courtesy would be nice.
    Anything that can be exploited will be exploited

    We are paying ZOS to have access to the DLC when we agreed we would have access to it. We are paying them for a service.

    So yeah, maybe the guy will call me and explain there was an emergency and that's why he couldn't come mow my lawn, but I would only be ok with it if the communication was made a logical explanation provided.

    ZOS is doing a terrible job of communicating and there in lies our problem.

    Yea but we also signed the poor industry standard of a TOS agreement saying updates can take any time zOS deems them ready for release or decide what communication is viable.

    Sadly only action is via wallet, unless you want a governmental agency requiring stamped and sign patch copies for official review and approval?

    Buddy i hear you but ... we are paying for a licences to play the game ..

    it dose not say weather or not we have to enjoy the game or even like it ...

    All Games/ ISP's/ website's/ ect use this same policy..


    Every DLC has issues, every patch. the amout of man hours to ream out every bug.. and fix the bugs that arive from other fixes would drive any game studio into the ground.

    But ZOS relies on the community to help them idenify bugs/issues and they do their best to fix them without causeing harm to other players at the same time.....


    in essence, it is like trying to juggle flaming Ferrets while herding cats at the same time...

    its hard and it sucks..... the only way to improve this is to help out as much as you can...

    And lets face it ... some stuff we do not need to know about ..

    But i do understand where you are coming from.
