in dark brotherhood update u can feed on an npc and have 6 hours to do all your pve fire intensive dungeons and maelstrom etc without any fire damage taken increase while in stage 1 vampire. to get to stage 4 really fast u only have to spam the hell out of mist form. they did this so we have more control over the vampire skill stages and didnt have to cure it to do content that takes 1 hour to do

Wow, quite a bombshell of info here. ty.

Even if you have 100 points into 25% less fire damage taken, it's a total nightmare on the last stage & final round especially, because of the crem guards that spawn and spit fire all over you for 23k+ damage as well as a DoT, and then their other fire AOE on top of their melee, and the other add that always spawns who also casts fire spells.
Just putting it out there, since without vampirism, I was clearing it every week but Vampirism (even with bat swarm (devouring to heal)) isn't worth it... trust me! It was fun to test it out on stream though.

It's bit tougher as vampire but manageable also my score was less then playing 'normal' class. I used channeled focus and jabs plus resto staff ward and cremo could not hurt me. I think templar is quite strong actually

Yeah that's what I was using too, and sure I could kill them/survive, but it's just so... edgy, if that makes sense, like... you're literally on edge trying to keep alive and one mistake can cost you.
Like on the last stage after you destroy the 3 crystals, when the crem guard spawns (especially if you missed 1 gold ghost, of course..) the crem guard, dodge-rolling/blocking the boss' knockback spell as well as getting gold ghosts and killing the add that summons, is like... BRAIN OVERLOAD as a vampire because I found myself doing more healing and running around than actually doing damage lol

haha
I play s&b my pvp build actually. If you play with staves it must be hard
The changes to vampire in DB will mostly fix this, but man I attempted this once.
I actually made it all the way to the last phase of the final boss, but it was painful. Especially as a vampire stamina templar before major mending. I remember the lurchers on stage 8 would essentially one shot me with a light attack. I had to kite them around and kill them with venom arrow light attack.
