Well if that happened on ESO you could use the new "No Fall Damage" feature of the Cheat Engine Addon.
Let's get serious: I think they might change this in the future, however, I think that currently, they have more important things to fix.

She once pushed me off a cliff, fortunately I had the perk for reduced fall damage, she however followed after pushing me and died on impact.
