Lol it's always laggy but on weekends it hits a lot harder. I did VMSA today and had a pretty good score on my stam DK but was cheated out of a perfect run thanks to teleporting titan on stage 5 (the last boss) and teleporting on that venomous plant stage/lastly last stage somehow died from environmental damage 0 lol... GG lag.
The lag in this game use to be PvP specific and a lot of the devs said "Oh it's issue with CP and player skills/passives interacting with others/calculations,etc. Now we have PvE where even in a solo instance such as VMSA it's laggy.. I hope they don't give me the same explanation stating it's a CP/passive issue on my character causing the lag when we all know what's causing the lag i.e. Patches, bot net, and AOE Caps.

The game has been unplayable since 16:00 GMT.
It is like this every weekend.
I'm currently playing Oblivion.
There is no lag
How I missed it

Hm... I think I'm going to fire up some Skyrim. It's been a very long time since I've played it, and since ESO is being uncooperative — why not? Why not let it fly?

Great idea!
Desperate times call for desperate measures
Solo games don't require a stable internet connection to a server, hundreds/thousands of miles away
Hopefully, DB patch next week will bring some stability.
