64 Bit Client - Fixes, Go live and Steam integration?

Since the most recent post I found about 64 bit client status specifically was in April, I figured I'd post rather than necro.

Has there been any update on client status? I know there were sound issues, were these fixed?

Ultimately, any signpost as to when the client might leave beta and go 'live', and will we be able to launch it directly from Steam so that Steam continues to track hours played etc?

Thanks

It's still a mess, just use 32bit for the next months

Well that sucks, but not unexpected. Have they given any timelines, or even recent indications that this is still something being actively worked on? Thanks for the update.

Well they work on it constanlty but its just that bad, still pink textures at most places, higher crash chance and so on.
No idea if they said something, don't listen to eso lives since those are anyway a waste of time.

Nothing in the incremental patches for a month or two now and nothing in any of the PTS patches, either. Think they forgot about it lol. It still crashes constantly too. Way more than the 32-bit.

random sounds plus white noise just as bad as ever, occasional missing textures (neon pink) still around, still have sound cut out in big fights in pvp (although the same happens with 32bit)

I've been continuing to use the 64 bit client. Haven't seen any pink textures in awhile. Still experiencing the white noise on occasion and have had a couple of crashes, but overall has been pretty stable for me. Sorry, have not heard any recent news.

64-bit works better for me, although I still often get sound glitches and occasionally pink textures.

Have you tried it recently? It has been pretty good, no audio issues for me. In fact people were reporting sound issues in the 32bit client but not the 64 bit client. Give it a go!

Most of my FPS issues have been resolved since using the 64-bit client. Cyrodill is fun again for me. I did read that there were some issues with audio but I didn't notice it anything outta the ordinary. The Lag still a problem though.

I will, thanks for the update. Still need it to launch natively though so it works through Steam, would be great to get an update on full integration of the 64bit client.

The 64 bit is working better. But when doing dungeons I still get lag issues after 5-10 min and have to reset every 5-10 min

The 64 bit client is working perfectly for me. The game runs better and I think the visuals look better too. Is that possible or am I crazy? Can playing on 64 bit instead of 32 improve anything to do with the graphics?

No not really. It's basically all memory management kind of stuff.

You CAN get better on-the-fly loading of assets if the game gets programmed to take advantage of the larger available memory and is less aggressive in it's memory trimming, but that would be about it.
