Whos Maxing Out Their Character Slots And What Are You Planning With Them?

As of the 31st PC is going to have 4 new character slots they can buy. So whos buying them, and what do you have planned for them?


Once theyre accessible on PS4 I plan on filling them out with four new characters. Been spending the last few weeks fleshing out their backstories, their ideal classes and appearance. If youre an RPer, or someone that loves to create stories about your characters. Feel free to share.

I think I'm going to play around with some hybrids. I've got an idea for a Medium armor Magicka user I've been wanting to make for DB. Haven't hatched everything out yet but something along the lines of a sneaky mage. NB comes to mind but I was also thinking DK or Sorc. Woodelf or Khajit for the racial passives.

I'll have to hunt it down again but I read somewhere that its going to be about 1500 Crowns per slot.

I plan first and foremost a female khajit stam sorc with backsatory being offspring of razum dar.

I plan an argonian mag dk bc well reptile dragon knight seems a must have screw the minmax. Like the name but wont type it until i get it.1

other two... not sure.

Have six chars 3 mag and 3 stam staying as is all divided between sorc, nb and temp. They stay as is.

other two of my existing (mag sorc and mag temp) are actually ideally suited for stam switcheroos. But dont yet knowe if one, both or neither will switch hit.

those decisions will help determine the identity of the last two slots.

the *** in me would prefer to end up with 6 stam and 6 mag and a decent division of classes (except DK already tossed two vet of them in the trash out of boredom.)

Who knows...

I have 2 argonians.

I deleted a max-horse imperial DK to make a bosmer DK right before all the stamina buffs were announced so I could have a molten weapons heavy attack Infallible/Sergeant build. Woops.

So despite having 4 stam and 4 magicka I could use a slot. My main's a magicka khajiit NB that started stam back when it was shite for the first year. Made a bosmer stamblade right before TG. Didn't think khajiit passives would ever get fixed.

I think I could use a magblade siphone tank and probably a Ra Gada stam build of some sort, using the opportunity to finally have a couple non-DC characters to hang out with my orange frenemies.

Yet another magicka DK, which is to become a dedicated DD. My current one has cps for damage dealing and tanking, and next patch is making clear that ZOS doesn't like you having a character that can do 2 roles.

All 8 character slots are used currently. 2 AD VR16s, 1 DC VR16, 4 more AD VR1+, 1 DC VR1+.

Plan to make at least 2 more DC so I can have one of each class on both factions. Not sure if I'll get the other two available slots as I don't want to play EP anytime soon.

planning low level PVP for each faction have to decide race and class still though, and undecided on the 4th so far myself maybe a stam NB imperial or Stam Sorc Imperial for PVE.

I'm not maxing them out, but I'm buying two of them so I can make a Nord and a Redguard and have one character of each race. Too bad we are not getting a 5th class too. I will have to pick two classes to have three of (I have two of each right now).

Since I already have backstories for more than 4 characters (as I deleted, created, wrote backstories, and so on and so on) I have too many ideas on the matter.

1. Finally going to roll an Imperial.
2. Finally going to roll an Orc (ewww).
3. Shadowscale.
4. Argonian DK tank.

After that I'll probably delete the Orc (ewww) and roll another Argonian.

I will be maxing out when the update drops next week. Only thing I'm sure I'll be making at this point is an Argonian sap tank, probably for EP. Was thinking of making the rest AD since I don't have any yet.

I will be maxing slots assuming they're sticking to, from what I've seen on the forums, is 1500 crowns per slot.
I will be able to finally have 4 characters in each alliance, evening it out.

I will be making sure I have a dragonknight and sorcerer in each alliance, as I doubled up on dragonknight in DC for some reason. Might throw in another nightblade somewhere, but will probably make it a werewolf, as I don't find levelling the nightblade skills all that fun. I have two templars, but probably won't add anymore. Just like nightblade, I just don't find them all that interesting to level up.

Seriously though, there are still some character setups I have yet to give a run, and planning to take a stab at, just for kicks. Redguard medium-armor stamina dragonknight executioner, Khajiit heavy armor battlemage, Imperial medium armor templar fanatic... in the end, I think I would like to do every race once, and every class thrice... (once per armor, except heavy armor nightblade - that combination just rubs me wrong due to lack of character idea for it I guess... though maybe a bosmer war archer... hmmm...) I may go for some of those combinations, depending on just how much the character slots end up costing once they go live. Though I most likely will take my time with them...

I'll get them but I probably won't be in a hurry. Its likely my first few weeks are going to be spent engrossed in building up older vets and completing the new assassin story content and achievements. I suppose if I get a spare moment though I might end up buying some slots here and there. I certainly have the concepts lined up, and I definitely want at least one of every race in my lineup.

I'm curious, when you buy these slots, they're permanent right? When you delete a new character that's over the current limit, you don't lose that slot do you?

They haven't confirmed it but the article above says buy a character slot rather than buy a character. I would assume that means if you delete the character the character slot remains.

It has also been stated that you can buy character slots even if you have not used up all the slots you already have, so another point towards the assumption that that it really is the slots themselves for sale.

It wouldn't hurt to buy them just to have them in my opinion. You may never use those slots but someday you might want too and may make ZOS think convenience items are the way to go.

I'm going to make a stam dragonknight since I already used up one of my character slots for a master crafter and atm I really don't feel like finishing the grind for the 8th time on someone who won't be able to be 100% combat effective. Not sure if I'll get any more slots after that though since I'm pretty happy with my current roster but I would definitely love to see faction changes come into the store soon.

I don't want to use any race more than twice, and I'm not a fan of Nords or Orcs in this game. If I could race change, the AD Breton Sorc would be an Altmer, and the DC Altmer Nightblade would be a Breton instead. I don't really like Stamina tanks, but I use Stamina strong races to offset the difference in stats.

Im personally adding

1 Breton Male - NB (probably magicka)
1 Breton Female - Temp (basing her on the character Etain from Centurion)
1 Argonian - Sorcerer
1 Dunmer - DK


Thatll round out the alliances and the classes nicely and give me at least 1 of every race.
