Major Savagery broken

Hey there,
I noticed a bug today on my StamDK with Major Savagery and Flames of Oblivion. I had the skill on my backbar and used Weaponpower Pots to get it on my Mainbar aswell. So here's what happened: Whenever I switched to the Backbar with FoO (which also passively grants the Buff) it would override the Major Savagery from the Pot. So when I switched back to the Mainbar the Buff was gone although the Pot was still running, which basically makes FoO unusable if you don't have it on both Bars. I'm pretty sure that this will be the same case with Inner Light and SpellPower Pots but didn't have time test it today, seems like a general buff-bug to me..

    The game registers that you refreshed the buff, and permanent effect > over short term buff. It's not really a bug, more just an oversight in the design, but for the most part that tends to be the most logical way to do it. If a new version of it comes into play, it refreshes the old effect and takes priority; if it happens to come from an ability passive then it also takes priority as the effect is permanent while the ability is on the active bar.

    Bug or not, I would think and prefer that potions shouldn't get canceled by an off-bar skill. But I do want them game employees to be aware of this so that they could address it -- at least know that it's a thing. I would probably play with flames of oblivion if this weren't the case. What I'm saying is I'd think that potions should just last past a bar switch without a major savagery skill on the other bar (like if they had a hidden timer or something) to not cancel the potion's effect. It's probably the result of basic no-stacking of equivalent buffs in the programming.

    Hello. So do you know if they -- ESO managers -- already acknowledged this issue, and are aware of it? I want them to know at least. A public statement about it would be nice too :smile:.
