DLC - Mage Guild Lore Books & M'aiq the Liar

I've noticed in the DLC zones I haven't found the glowing blue Mage Guild lore books that were scattered around the original game launch zones. Nor have I run into M'aiq the liar. Just would like to confirm that both were not carried over by ZOS into any of the DLC zones?

They'd have to change the achievement for Maiq if they added him to the DLC zones, plus it would lock people who don't have the DLC's out so, safer not to have those things carry over.

Yeah more or less. Revising the achievement for dlc zones would just be unfair. So the M'aiq and lore book achievements are all attainable without dlc. I do believe there are new books in the dlc areas, at least I think I found some in Wrothgar, but since I'd already maxed out my Mages guild line it didn't do anything. Just flashed up "added to library".

Ok thanks. Makes sense. The game launched with the player having the ability to find all the mage lore books and max out the mages guild skill line and get the achievement.

I guess if they really wanted to they could add a separate Mages Guild lore book achievement for the individual DLCs. But again the skill line would already have been maxed out long ago.

There is always a way... add single achievements dlc tied for certain achievements. For example add an achievement to find M'aiq the Liar in Hew's bane, another one for Gold Coast another one for Wrothgar and so on.

Add a whole new "find X" similar to the fill the Thieves Guild display cases with trophies / Complete the Orsinium museum's collection type things...

It would be nice if in a year or two or three they re-did the mages guild / fighters guild quest-line by adding new stuff ( similar to how an MMO's world actually evolves ) BUT I am happy with just collecting books and grinding Daedra...

I was laughing on Monday night I got my 1 char up to VR1 ( last one I needed before DB ) and I told someone near me in say chat: " I never joined the fighters guild" (note this guy was just doing sewers so he should have hit FG lvl 10 by VR1 ) haha oh well luckily he is a magicka char so no harm done

Yes, just like the way fishing is handled in the new zones. DLC fishing has its own achievement that is not tied to the main Master Angler one. Same could be done for M'aiq and possibly lore books.
