Dual wield swords for sorc question

Quick question about Passives for dual wielding.

I have dual swords on all my char, and have all Passives bought to maximize having two swords.

On my sorc, I don't have nearly as many skill points. I just got dual swords to 50 and have bought 2/2 on twin blade and blunt (the one that increases damage for having two swords)

The question is, are the other Passives necessary? On slaughter, it states on dual wield abilities. Since I am using none of those, are they required? Are any required at all besides the final two? Again this for my sorc who's using all magic, just using two swords for damage increase and to get a 4th slot for my set pieces to also increase spell damage.

Any info before i respec is appreciated, thanks!

    No, that's all you need as a Magicka build. The other ones only affect weaving and actually using the abilities - none of which you'll be doing.

    It increases spell damage, however illogical that is. It also provides another slot for set bonuses, so you can run something like monster set plus 2 5 piece sets.

    @GeorgeBlack Dual swords on sorcs are for only our execute phase and overload bar if one is using overload that is.

    That's right. My dual wield bar has frags, endless fury and mines. Also harden ward and inner light. I use my staff a lot more but switch when have a frag ready, need to execute, want to drop mines, or execute. Otherwise I'm on my staff bar.

    It's one of the most stupid things that they keep ignoring. The options for a true magic user should be, destro staff for offence, resto staff for healing or one hand and shield for survivability.

    It's really easy to fix too. just have dual wield and two handed only have its increase for physical damage.

    They should probably have two handed weapons count as two slots, for set bonus as well.

    If they did that it would correct itself.

    Some people may say it's fine, but it's clearly not. If it doesn't go both ways it's a flaw. Ever see a physical damage character with a staff?

    People do it for the stats and that's thier right, but it's clearly nothing to do with wanting a dual wielding Magic sorcerer. If someone really does want to be a dual wielding magic sorcerer, let them, but it should not be statistically superior.

    I would even suggest making destro staff have the same level of magic damage that two handed currently does.

    well next patch... I wouldn't use two swords... ever. 1 resto, 1 destro staff... those are your options. pick up your cookie cutter build on your way out from Yolo... and enjoy your....well... lack of everything. lol

    Made me laugh.... in a slightly sad way...

    Had heard a lot of people mention Yolo's build so went and had a look the other day... and realised it was virtually identical to mine, and most other sorc's I know, without even realizing it.

    So much for build diversity & viability.
