So doing dungeons and pledges and stuff is fun with friends. I don't pug and they don't do it much any more either. It's just so much more fun to do it together! Interestingly enough, irl we're all pretty introverted but this common interest really brought us all out and we really enjoy playing just for the fun of playing together. The hard part is when there's five or six of us playing and we can't go dungeoning together. What if normal dungeons could accommodate odd numbered groups? You can two or three person a dungeon, solo it if you're awesome and patient, but if all you're interested in is having fun with friends, you can't go in with five, six or seven. Yes there's public dungeons and world bosses, but those don't have the same xp, keys and most importantly, quest stories!
Now before anyone starts yelling easy-mode, what I would like is for the dungeons to scale to accommodate an odd number of players. Before the word balance gets trotted out again, I'm thinking in terms of a few more adds, another couple of percent in hitpoints on bosses and their damage done. For example, if you go in with four let's say there's twelve mobs in a trash pull. If you go in with five, fifteen mobs will spawn. If you go in with seven people, twenty-one mobs spawn. With the scaling it wouldn't discount any achievements players make or have previously made as the difficulty would be the same. It's not just an easy mode for a key.
The Skyrim with friends line is great, but they didn't say friends had to come only in pre-made groups of four!
