Yeah no doubt it's creating bad feelings there. It would be interesting to see if it's really driving players out of PvP though. Let's say we zerg trueflame to death and no one but EP plays it anymore. Do those DC players quit or did they just move over to a different server. It wouldn't be too hard for me to pick up my guild and move to another server if that is where the biggest action was. Also I see guilds like Blood and Heart of Daggerfall actively running in TF every night and their numbers are not seeming to shrink. Rather they seem to be growing a bit. I wouldn't be surprised to see the June campaign in TF be a lot closer. There are plenty of AD guilds that Crispen showcased on his forum post. It seems like they might become more competitive scoring wise too next campaign.

I think TF is dying a slow death as a server. I personally haven't seen it as bad ever as I did last night. From what I could see there were no guilds there. On a Sunday. Prime time. Very, very strange. And you can threaten to follow but good luck getting into Haderus with your Zerg. You all won't get in. 80% of you will sit in a queue all night.

Just let his hubris get him, much like it has DC, AD, and EP guilds of the past. What I find entertaining is that they where not around when ep needed them back in a-star, yet they wait until DC gets split between trueflame/haderus and AD mostly move to haderus. Then descended on trueflame where they had a clear number advantage, and act like they are the saviour of EP.

Back in the day I used to RAGE at any DC who would dare touch EP or AD tri keeps if there were no scrolls behind them. If there is no scrolls there you leave those damn keeps alone, if you can't do that then you don't give a damn about fostering an environment for pvp
Whatever though if you can't see this is hurting pvp then whatever your obviously oblivious to what's going on around you

They were there in Azuras, as were most of the EP guilds that are now in TF. We may have been double teamed all the way back to our gates most nights on Azuras, but unlike you lot of whiners (who aren't even really being double teamed the way we were), we stayed and worked on becoming more organized.
I realize that the EP on the NA server in the Trueflame campaign are jealous of the DC's ability to hold off a 75-90 man zerg on glademist at 1 AM with 25 DC defenders. I also realize it's humiliating for the EP when the only way they can finally take the keep is when their EMP shows up. My question is this -- why does the EP attack DC? Why do you have this irrational hatred for the DC? Why don't you go and ROFLstomp the AD for a night? Seriously, when you can remain pop capped until 3AM on a Friday night while the rest of us are at Med, you should really devote your resources to attacking both factions. What do you do? You designate yourselves as the Akatoshes ******* retribution against the DC because we went and stole the scroll that the AD ghost capped from you at 4AM on Wednesday from the AD. Come on -- was it really necessary to zerg both our scrolls with your unholy red markers of corruption? Was it really fair to attack a faction with 80-90 people on at 3AM with your ridiculous 250+? Meanwhile, the borders between the Aldmeri and the Ebonheart were quiet as the grave..
Yeah, yeah, it was a fun night. I and the guildies genuinely enjoyed the hopelessness of it. It was fun to kill so many with so few -- but still hopeless.
*Ahem* Rant over.
Now to my question:
I came back to ESO after roughly 8 months because Ive been in nursing school. When I left trueflame on the NA server, AD was more populated than a pregnant bull frog and EP was the underdog. DC seemed to be the happy medium. Now, 8 months later, I come back to a red faction that has more capability to spawn than a horny rabbit on Easter. Meanwhile, the formation of the fabled team orange (consisting of whats left of the AD and the zergerific EP) seems to take pleasure in the destruction of blue. Where are the DC? Right where I left them. Stuck with an underwhelming population.
Why is it that the EP suddenly has this hatred for DC? I would think that after 4 months of being ROFLstomped by the AD in the summer of 2015 that the EP would focus their aggression on the AD. Instead, the EP not only use their superior numbers to grind the DC into the ground whenever we've displeased them -- they let the AD tag along like starving vultures feeding on the remains of our cut off keeps.
Ebonheart Pact -- what the heck? What happened while I was gone to incite this hatred?

Players get satisfaction out of taking keeps and pushing the other faction(s) the gates. It's not like I actively say "We must push to the gates until their playbase is non-existent" rather it's a natural occurrence due to map design. People want to grab the shiny scrolls behind the gates and run it back to their keeps. It's part of the fun of ESO PvP for many.
I can accept this. Scrolls are there for the taking. And to get scrolls, you have to take the the 3 main home keeps.
I think it's after taking the scrolls...that players and guilds need to think about what to do. Primarily, it doesn't do much good to keep pushing to the gates. There is no real motivation accept for the occasional silly, "Well, they did that to us for months. So what if they suffer now." Though I understand the anger, being overwhelmed and/or mowed down can be very discouraging to a player base that suffers from a lack of numbers. It's not like a faction can instantly call up or recruit players to participate in an already laggy war.
I have no problem with Red being pop-locked while Blue and Yellow are at 2 bars. What right do I have to tell players that they can't play.
here are things Red could do, though, to encourage a healthier pvp environment. Coordinating to attack on two fronts is one. Letting blues and yellows at least take the two home keeps and maybe Glade and Faregyl is another. This especially because letting an opposing force build up actually gives you more people to fight against, more people to kill, and doubles the fun.
On the other hand, yellow and blue can work on pushing against red together, even if there is animosity between the two factions. I have heard people encourage this so many times, and yet someone in the yellow faction or someone in the blue faction decides to stab the other in the back. It is war. But honestly, if Red has overwhelming numbers or Emp, then we could work together some. It's the only logical solution.
But anyways, less hard feelings and more let's try to have fun. That's why we pvp everyday, isn't it? To have fun. You kill me. I kill you. Fun fun.
p.s. Off topic, but if someone can keep me from crashing in large fights, I'll forever be yours. Not having fun crashing in Cyrodiil recenly

Second, I completely understand how you must be feeling, I think tons of us feel (at times) the "hatred" from a single faction, or in some cases, two.. it obviously is not fun feeling like your being ganged up on. But, war is hell as the saying goes. And you will have spies, alliances, traitors, etc...
Third, I don't know if you've read this particular post (just a small thread, no ones been reading )"Calling All DC and EP to Kick AD from Haderus".. but, it may give you another perspective and it appears that at least on that end, there is no "green alliance" .. "orange alliance"...I play both campaigns, and at one time or another, someone is getting pushed and camped, etc.
Lastly, there is a general consensus from AD (NA) that AD is let's just say, not very well respected or liked by either faction; however, and I could be wrong here, but what you won't find (at least I haven't as of yet) are AD (NA) complaining about it on the forums and asking for help, because, quite frankly, there isn't another faction to go to when things get tough..
I'm speaking from my own observations of course, and others may have different opinions, but as a player since beta, I haven't seen AD call for help except from each other.. but, I'm only just starting to really read the forums, so I could be missing something.. I'm sure someone will politely correct me if I am.

I think the request of not farming DC at the gates or keeping them pined down at rayles/warden/glade after the scrolls are gone is reasonable. Once you have Emp and scrolls there is no further incentive other than rage or vengeance to push them to the gates. It's a hard thing to lecture players that they can't push the enemy objectives "for the good of the PvP community" however it is reasonable and justifiable that after there is no real value in pushing objectives to withdraw from most of DC's home keeps.

First, welcome back!
When I was actively leading, I worked with Crown and many other AD leaders to dethrone on both TB and Azura. Even now, when I'm just playing in group I talk to several AD friends to help against EP because of the dynamics on TF.
That's awesome! I was referring to purely forum posts; I haven't seen any AD NA asking for another faction to help; that's all
Tbf, not a lot of people actually use the forums. So it's not a real reliable guage of what's really going on on the battlefield either politically or strategically.

Telel was there during their normal time, as was their pack. However as usual there were no other groups running that wanted or were capable of going on the offensive. This leadership deficit has been an issue for the faction for some time now.
This left a single PUG of 12-16 plus a few smaller groups or soloers to go up against a couple dozen pacters backed by their emperor. That's around thirty or so people all told to take on an Emperor group, and the natural herd behavior of PVPers.
Oh, and did khajiit mention the 2 bars of pop vs the pop locked faction? Two bars of pop vs, a pop locked faction with a large emperor group and the only large AD offensive group is a makeshift PUG led by a very unskilled khajiit.
Needless to say this one could do little more than try to hold the line until some other groups came in later that night and brought some pain up past BRK.
But as soon as they go to bed our meager 1-2 bars of population simply can't do much to a faction that's so intent on avoiding Haderus they somehow manage to keep their population locked for the majority of the day.

I hear this all the time, but Cyrodiil isn't a battleground where 10 players fight 10 players. The whole zone's purpose is to take keeps and scrolls before the enemy can defend them. Now I agree that it is much more exciting to have an epic battle between factions, but I remember some of the best guilds ninjaing keeps and scrolls before the enemy could get there. Some guilds could 50/50 a keep and take it in two minutes flat.
The people I play with these days hate sieging with a passion. They prefer to siege a keep just so the enemy will come and we can have some fun pvp fights. I've grown to love this style of play, too.I think the request of not farming DC at the gates or keeping them pined down at rayles/warden/glade after the scrolls are gone is reasonable. Thank you for your response. I know that not everyone will listen. But I'm sure that if they are encouraged to let blue and yellow build up forces so that there are more players to fight against, they will come around. I've learned a lot recently about how to demoralize the enemy. Sounds bad, but it works. But I've also learned how to let them gain confidence. And that works, too.
The thing is that if we demoralize the enemy too much, then they will stop coming to fight. They feel that there is no point. And they get tired of being smashed again and again. And if they decide to log off, then there is noone to fight. So rather than making them quit, you have to hold off a bit and let them gain some ground. As ground is being made more people join the cause. And soon, you will have a large force to fight against again.

We ran a group comprised of Fantasia + a healthy amount of VE chums on their alts from maybe 8pm to a little after midnight EST Sunday night. Started out with 8, hovered around 20-22 for most of our run right until I had to call it for the evening. We ran two scrolls -- the yellow one in Kingscrest plus another I'm blanking on -- and tried to keep the heat on EP between defenses. There was a 30 minute span when something would light up back home as soon as we reached Chalman, and I'd have to dash us back for defense; we weren't goofing around, and I called the majority of our movements in zone to see if we could rally the natives. We didn't have the pop to tackle Chalman without DC, we weren't able to get to Chalman on the few occasions that we spotted DC actively assaulting it (I believe they were tied up at Bleaker's and Aleswell much of our run), and while it's theoretically possible that we could have done more, in the sense that possibilities are pretty close to infinite in scope before they leave the boundaries of your imagination, the work we were able to do is nonetheless substantial. I am happy with it.
I don't know if this was after you logged, Telel. I would assume so. You are welcome to message me (Joshua Warren) or our other primary raid lead (Kal'Thalar) anytime we are running to coordinate. We are only able to run 3-4 nights a week until our other lead finishes up some real life priorities, but we do a lot for the campaign when we are running. You can ask the queen; she knows that we're always down to clown.

I think you've missed the point Alchuri, Nik isn't like Van... he doesn't want good fights... he doesn't want a challenge.... he wants to "Win" at any cost. Because campaign wins are still a thing. LMAO

Eh, whatever. AD did this same thing at release, DC did this on their buff servers, and EP did this post-DiE exodus. Just realize that night capping is cancerous and your "wins" from them are hollow.

I don't think EP is winning purely because of night capping. My casual players past primetime may take undefended/low pop defended keeps but if I DC can't handle 1 raid past primetime it's kind of sad. Where are the other DC players/guilds?
Ghost-Shot wrote: »Players get satisfaction out of taking keeps and pushing the other faction(s) the gates.

No its not hard, be a leader Nik.
