I was just staring at the millions of ap annd thought it be cool if tempering alloy was for sale at a merchant for AP.
I just can't get behind the tempering grind. And would like to see other options.

flguy147ub17_ESO✭✭✭✭✭I do think this would be a good idea, I believe you should be able obtain things in game in doing activities that you actually enjoy doing. If you are enjoying the game, you play longer and sub longer. If you start having to do crap like farm mats that you actually hate just to upgrade your gear then you get bored and its not fun anymore and some players quit when they have to do too many things they find boring in a game to advance their character.0

Serenityx✭✭✭Not for this at all... You should just get more from raw mats. It would cause a huge surge in cyrodil populations.. And not all players have millions of AP lying around. The ones that do would have a massive advantage2

AP grows on tree's. When defending a castle dump oil. You earn 20-50k ap . 3 buckets, 3 dumps. Hell I have earned my AP which, given the titles, means its how the faction values you as a member of society. So If someone has millions they have earned the respect of their faction through hard work.
Rightfully so, their whims should be catered too.

✭✭✭✭✭With all the PvP sets being updated in DB PvP players will have a lot of high desire items to sell again, we shouldn't have any problems turning AP into gold.
Also I am against more changes which separate PvE and PvP. The game was launched with the idea there would be few barriers between the two and players would partake in both like some of the old school MMO games. We already have three currencies, sets with PvE/PvP specific bonuses and people demanding two versions of every skill.
Soon enough we'll be like WoW and SWTOR and you can't play both with ease because you need your expertise sets to get your PvP stats up.

Then join a trade guild, buy PvP sets and sell them via the trade guild. Then use all the gold you make to buy gold tempers.
Also if you're part of a large campaign while you're in queue to join each night run around a silver VR zone which is empty and farm all the nodes. Then either refine the materials yourself for tempers or if you lack the SP for it ask a trusted friend/guild member to do so.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

✭✭✭I wish there was just a more consistent way of getting gold mats that didn't cost an arm and leg in the process. I do my crafting writs every day and get maybe 4-5 gold mats between all my characters but that's hardly enough to sate my needs.
Not to mention all the changes to traits/gear that makes them less desirable overall after using materials to make them the best (I'M LOOKING AT YOU NIRNHONED!!!!! 4 Magic characters all with Gold Nirn Swords/Staffs, wasted as of DB).
It's just a real pain sometimes.
And before anyone says this is an MMO and that's just how they are, there are several different methods to gear grinds that don't require screwing people every single patch/dlc, like a token system.Argonian forever0 -

If you have that many sets of gold armor,why do you need to grind to get more gold alloys? Sounds like you have gotten plenty to use already.

Did all that with purple armor and gold weapons.

You seemed to get quite defensive and tell everyone how you're better than them at everything when people didn't like your idea though. I mean what I can take from this thread is, you're too lazy to grind any more, you're better than everyone else.
Glad I am falling behind, it seems more relaxed back here.
TBH AP should be used for Cyrodiil only items and not items which can be gained elsewhere in the game and are unbound.
This way we keep the trade dynamic between PvP and PvE players open and let both sides trade gold/AP for items they desire.
They can add more stuff into the game for it to be used on, however with the scaled old sets it seems we have an AP dump for players at last. Otherwise Wheeler hinted in an interview about new siege engines and the capturable towns mechanics, these might bring new uses for AP with them.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver
