Champion Points questiom

Just a quick question, while browsing the forum people say they are v16 with about 160 cp. How come I'm only v12 with 234 cp? How do I have more CP than a v16?

How does accrual work then?

    Because of enlightenment and the catch up mechanics.

    Someone who mostly plays in only enlightenment is going to have more(per vr level) than someone who does not. Also someone who doesn't really play anymore but did before the catch up system was in place will have a TON less. I believe I had around 50 when I hit VR 16.

    It's very possible that some of these players stopped playing awhile back before the increased CP gain was introduced, now they are returning. ZOS has also stated that V16 equals CP 160. So apparently there must be some means to which one could only end up with 160 at V16.

    Yeah the enlightenment thing makes sense. Thanks for the answers everyone.

    Edit: That don't seem fair to me! I suppose it'll all change soon anyway.

    Santie Claws is the best Khajiit on the forums and probably game. She is awesome!!

    160 seems very low for a Vr16 unless they left for a long time . VR has nothing to do with the amount of CP your character has . They could of hit VR16 before Tamriel Unlimited and the champion system hit . Creating another grind for full level characters .

    If you played average time , a few hours a day 4 or more days a week you should be in the mid 300's by now , if you started when the system came into play . "Casual playtime"

    Some people are way over the cap . They play all the time .
