The worst thing is, it would only take like ONE generation to fix this. Just start teaching both in schools. If they had changed the standards back in the 70s & 80s we would all be using the metric system as a standard.

Garldeen✭✭✭✭In the UK, we manage to combine systems. We teach cm, metres at school and then measure distance in miles, for the weather we use Fahrenheit and Celsius . In the summer, people complain it is (for example) 90, however in the winter we say it is -10. brrr
At least you have one system which you stick to. We are trying to get metric but cannot fully commit!
