Stamblade v Stamknight! Or something else? (Mainly PVP)

Coming back to ESO after a couple months hiatus, thought I'd give it a go with all the new content coming out.

I'm going to roll a PVP build, and to be honest, I've only sparingly played PVP.

I'm definitely doing a stamina build, as I've only ever rolled a tank, sorc and Templar both as magicka builds.

I'm leaning towards DK because they seem more versatile, and seem to synergize better with 2H weapons which I'll be using primarily. On my off-bar I'd probably go for a 1H & shield setup for a DK and a bow for a NB.

Any help here is appreciated

If you want to play a more bursty ganky build then stamblade, if you want more stand up or group fights then DK is probably going to serve you better.

Stam NB is going to be pretty obnoxious in PVP next patch.

Stam DK won't be a slouch by any means but stam NB burst damage is going to make PVP'ers who aren't reading test server post very salty

stam nb is a weaker stam dk in pve and pvp, maybe if cloak worked nb would stand a chance but right now dk outclasses every stam build in the game, however you should try stamina templar aswell, they get some pretty nice buffs next patch.

17 for stamNB, 2 for stamDK.
You're right about pve, but in PvP NB is the best stam class (but still gets destroyed by magNB).

You're right about pve, but in PvP NB is the best stam class (but still gets destroyed by magNB).

If the PTS Incap Strike survives and makes it to live, Stam NBs will destroy magNB. The proxy det nerf will hit MagNBs quite hard in PvP.

Stamblade has better sustain. (Due to several passives and Merciless Resolve)

StamDK has better survivability. (Due to Major Mending and Minor Vitality)

So it greatly depends on your PvP competency and play style.

I've gone a bit left field here, after a whole lot of research, and I've decided I'm going to level a Stamplar, the Imperial Templar Ser Arthar Dayne! An awesome mix of CC and DPS, and now a legit damage shield with Bone shield, and the DB passive changes make me feel as though 1v1, Stamplars are going to be a force to be reckoned with

Lol I don't know what kind of fights you've been watching, but mageblades are the easiest kills for stamblades lolololol

I thought the only thing lacking for Stamplars was a decent damage shield, I levelled one up to level 40-something and felt a bit too squishy. A damage shield would've made all the difference!

What are they scaling it off now? Health or Magicka?

Reverted back to health if ZOS wouldn't have done the 50% cyro shield nerf Stamina Templars could still use blazing shield but with it being 15% max health while in Cyro and you're generally going to run around with22-24k health it's a waste of a slot. Only if @Wrobel would change it to max stat or let blazing shield and bone shield not be touched by Battle Spirit it would be viable

Why not both? Wont have to deal with vet levels anymore, so multiple characters are soon to become easier to manage.

I've been playing a stamina nightblade since pc launch, recently started working on a stamina dragonknight and I'm loving the play so far, plus its only going to get better with dark brotherhood (yay for green fire).

DK has more survivability, NB has hgher (honestly unbalanced) burst.

DK can stack powerful DoTs though and gains resources on Ult use.

I'd say pick Stam DK, as it is probably better, but know that Stam NB has insane damage next patch and will most likely not get nerfed.

Why is this choice?
You should really roll all 8 class combos.
Spend alot of time naming and creating these character. High elf or breton for magic and imperial or redgaurd for stam.
Don't forgot tattoos. log on every day and feed the mount of couple character for speed.
Play one to 30 and if you don't love the playstyle try another.

I can't believe what I'm reading here lol. Stamina NB is extremely overrated and Stamina Dk (make sure you go Redguard, that's important) is MILES ahead of Stamina NB. The leader of my guild plays Stamina Dk and nearly never gets defeated, it's the strongest class right now in my opinion.
