On PC we have default TEXT, and many voice add-ons. too many voice add-ons, it can take forever to get a group 'TALKING' figureing our what voice chat we'll be using and getting invited/permissions to join channel.
Can't ESO add a ingame voice chat for pc? We all heard the horror stories from 'game box' ppl about ingame voice chat, but can't ESO learn from that experiment, and do better?
This game is too fast pace to use TEXT, We need a well intergrated group voice chat channel.

while i agree, i still think you will run into the same problems after its supposed implementation, people on pc rarely have a headset, at least random groups.

Im not dissagreeing with you, i just think this might not solve the problem you are having, not completely at least

There doesn't need to be a zone voice chat for pc, just have it for group and guild.

    Personally,

I can fight and talk easily enough(I mainly heal/tank not dps).

Not many people on PC use Headsets to hear the sound(Well I do because i am hearing impairment and headsets let me hear everything much better), it's a good idea but there will be some problems honestly.
If I die tomorrow I do not want to think of the game I could of played today, therefor I will play whatever I want today while securing a future to play in as well.

A true gamer will think of all the possible outcomes and execute the one that is the hardest to accomplish.

Might give some a reason to have a headset/mic. While inguild w/ set defaults for voice, it seems to work well. It's just the chat set-up can be so much BS. there has to be a better way.

There is no way in hell I can text chat /group in the middle of a tough fight, If I did: someone would die... probably ME;)
Oh, and if ESO does add this feature. add a mute button for turning it off for some player.
    Maybe, do that first;)....

I just got the game not even a week ago for ps4 and I must say the first thing I did was to turn off the voice chat cause it's so annoying to hear people grunt and breathe and fiddle with plastic bags or eat chips/crisps or have an argument with their other half or others who are in the same room as them, all while they have their mic on.
So, be careful what you wish for..

Hmm, yeah... I am not a friend of TS (only), but I see its value for certain occasions.

I am all in for immersion ... and really a bariton wood-elf maiden might kill immersion just like a high pitched Orc warrior ...

    BUT

    ... keep it optional ...

and I am all in for it!

    Why?

Easy... that is what I call convinience!

No need to have it on at all times, but easy to get when needed.

For Groups only I think it would be fine, but also have a toggle off option. I don't type that fast so it's frustrating for me to try and communicate via chat, and impossible while in combat.
