Lightning Splash morph?

So, Im building my magika sorcerer, and one of the spells commonly recommended is Liquid lightning. I have been using Lightning Splash and will soon be able to morph the spell, however Im considering Lightning Flood rather than Liquid Lightning.

Reasons - I primarily play solo, so use a clanfear as a tank, but I have been struggling to make good use of lightning splash. My aim isnt great, and with no tank or multiple enemies they often run outside its sphere. While my clanfear can hold enemies in place, and I do use Destructive clench to trap enemies, these are the only times lightning gets used to its max. Sometimes clench doesn't trap, and even when it does it holds for 6 seconds. So rather than increasing the duration to 10s (liquid) Im considering flood with its larger sphere - to trap more enemies, for a longer period (time it takes for them to move) and to mean my aim isnt as critical.

I appreciate in multplayer form, where there is a tank or more than one tank, the duration may be better - what are thoughts on flood as an alternative for that larger area of influence.

Liquid lit. Cast it down and stand in it if enemies are too mobile. They'll burn down quicker when they come to you.

With DB coming out I believe they are implementing a system where if you choose you click on the spell and it brings up a circle which you can move around and click again to cast at that spot.

Thats the only way Ive ever dont this (only been playing 2 weeks). I find it difficult in hectic moments to even see the circle at times, and sometimes cast way off where I want to be - particularly at distance.
