What's the point of limiting the availability of special items to a timeframe, then once the players who have it eventually stop playing the game, and those things are lost forever? Literally never seen or enjoyed. Ever. The END.

Every anniversary, you can stock the crown store with items no longer available, and make them high cost.
Happy players, happy developers and artists. Rewarding, fun, festive, promotional -- Win Win Win.

As an artist and binge collector of artistic items, I am appalled at the idea that the ACTUAL successes of ESO's art team can, and will often become extinct.

I understand ZOS was attempting to keep the items more rare, so that their "uniqueness" stays intact, and obviously, well done. However you can bring items back here and there and still maintain that aspect. By limiting it to once a year and making them more expensive, you keep these items in the game and preserve their rare and unique appeal.
Don't look into someone's eyes, if you fear what they'll see in yours.

Why stop at once a year.
Surely it would be reasonable to ask for a 6 month gap if its 1 year.
Than if its 6 months....why is it being pulled for 6 months ?
Will people even remember or know it was, at one time, exclusive...3 years down the road ?

The whole point was it was a thank you and acknowledgement to a generation of the community.
That acknowledgement and thank you is worthless if you take the exclusivity away.

I think you're talking about the PC Loyalty Rewards? If so, yes I agree that those should remain exclusive, or at least, only obtainable in the same manner in which they were first earned.

However, I think the OP is talking about the Limited Time items in the Crown Store. These weren't rewards or thank-yous, but rather designed to generate revenue by their limited availability and higher price. Surely, these could be sold again in future. But, there's already been quite a few of these, with more on the way, so cycling some of these back in from time to time will probably not happen that often, if ever.
