Why is stamina dk getting buffed next patch

Why is stamina dk getting buffed next patch? It is already the highest dps in the game. Rapid strikes is also already op why would you reduce the cast time of it. Im surprised there is no thread about this.

    We deserve it :D And nothing stops anyone from making one and leveling one up. I love playing DK, stam and mag are so fun! Ya some of our skills are silly and borked but its my favorite class for melee fighting.

    I'm sure stamsorcs feel they deserve it a lot more :P You know, considering they are most likely the lowest PvE DPS and got the least buffs. And stam DK is the highest, and got the most.

    I have a stam sorc, leveling them is painful but are fun later game. Agreed, they definitely need some love.

    Versatility and diversity. All setups used the same 10 slills. How can you hate on increasing diversity? Is mag suppose to get all the skills and morphs in a class skill line?

    It is mostly going to be the same skills, just with buffs.

    DKs aren't the only stam builds getting a so called buff; nightblades and templars are too and for the same reason: some stam abilities synergise poorly with the CP system. It is a correction that was overdue.

    Flurry, whilst useful in PvE is useless in PvP. The modest changes being trialled should make no difference to DPS, but make the ability more useful to more players.

    Not really relevant. Stamina DK as it stands on live RIGHT NOW is probably capable of the highest sustained PvE DPS. Makes a lot more sense for them to buff the stamina builds that were underperforming the most, than it does to buff the one that is performing very well.

    Because they have no intention of making tanking a viable play style . they have destroyed all utility and survivablity skills to point less. all CC ablities are a waste of bar space. the only logical thing to do is keep building this game around DPS. The gap is not massive between DK stam DPS and any other Magica build with any class. But you are correct Development of this game in wall way shapes and forms is a lesson in Dislexia development

    The gist of it OP is fire damage doesn't pair well with the current CP system. That was it. And from what I read, flurry got its damage scaled back to be exactly the same dps wise as it is live. Just a shorter cast time.

    Their damage is terrible in PvP. With the damage type changes there' a small buff to their DoT skills that will still probably rarely be used just because melee-range DoTs are a little silly in a burst damage meta. I don't think PvE was really a consideration in the change.

    Wrong. They were brought up a bit so they were nearly balanced, some magicka builds are still short of burst specifically DK and Templars. The only thing you could argue is magicka builds got an OP set. Don't get VD confused with balance, that set is far from balanced when combined with Proxy Det and Soul Tether.

    Stam DK in live right now, has the highest burst for PvP and the highest DPS in PvE.

    Why would they buff the things that are crappy when they can just buff the things that are good?

    While stamina builds got buffed this patch that was not the intent behind changing class, and Fighters Guild abilities. The abilities were changed to finally normalize stam skills with Mighty.

    We absolutely do, and Stamplars are a pretty close second to us. Stam Sorc for Buffs 2016.

    Stam DK isn't getting buffed, it's having fire damage converted to poison damage so that the damage type works with Mighty so you don't have to split your points into Elemental Expert. Where did this thinking there was a buff come from?

    Rapid Strikes is not a DK class skill BTW :p .

    Changing to Poison makes sense to align with CP. However the Rapids Change is crazy strong, and DK synergizes with that skill and Maelstrom DW the best bringing them over the top. Not sure why NB to a lesser extent but certainly Templar and Sorc got left out in the cold comparatively.

    I think that the idea of buffing stamina dk was to create MORE diversity of play style.

    It seems that everytime one class gets gifted something someone is always complaining about how OP that class is and how THEIR class is suffering.

    My mains are a stamina DK and stamina NB. At times they've had and advantage and there have been times when they were at a disadvantage.

    Keep it coming ZOS. My playstyle has had to adapt and that keeps the game more interesting.

    OP stamina DK? Let's see what people are complaining about in a few more months.
