you know, I'm not sure why i always tend to take the road least traveled with my gaming styles. i guess theres always some appeal.
playing a NB stam tank has been pretty fun. i enjoy the fact that there will be more resources in the new patch due to the changes to consitution, although the changes to bracing are going to hurt gravely ( will need to sacrifice other things just to get that 20% back, like very expensive gear or champ points, which will sacrifice survivability overall).
a few things crossed my mind however that would really benefit a stam build NB tank. Leeching strikes / Siphoning attack is always a staple of the build, and out of the two LS seems to be more geared to the tank since it isn't basing itself off a proc chance, plus reduces damage done. the thought that crossed my mind though is that it's kind of... weak. a stam NB doesn't really have any real return abilities and particularly stamina-scaled heals are not really available aside from Valor. valor does an ok job, but only at high attack power.
I was thinking that buffing the values of Leeching strikes would be a pretty good idea. maybe increasing the value of health returned by 4-5% total health rather than 2. we don't have many things that scale off of health, and even bone shield's going to be going on that wayside too (thats not a bad thing) .
if those suggested values seem too high, maybe having the ability proc off of single target direct abilties would help too.
i kind of feel that the health return is the biggest issue. getting stam doesn't seem to be too hard (unless you're pvp tanking, but that could also be a side affect of the low health return) and even though we don't have shields we do have the options to decrease damage done by 15% through deep slash which is not too bad against anyone but the most damage-power stacked of players.
what do you guys think? I really kind of feel like stam NB tanks are missing something critical, and magicka NB tanks don't seem to be affected nearly as much due to all the sap abilities.
