Dragon priest and Dovakhiin costumes - only for male characters?

As the title says, basically.
I checked new costumes on my char, and they dont have female meshes. :/
And attaching male models to female chars causes some... deformities:
aXrS1OL.jpg
Dragon priest costume looks just horrible, it gives balloon-like body on super skinny legs. It might be not that noticeable on screenshots due to all these spikes and other details, but its very noticeable in game.

@ZOS_GinaBruno , is it possible to release these costumes in female versions as well?

    Not sure if blind... ;)
Dress (not sure what exactly do you mean, robes or cash shop dresses) conforms to your male char's body.
But using not adjusted male meshes on female chars causes this kind of stuff:
    j2apDbn.jpg
It doesnt even make my female char look like male, it makes her look like a potato sack on thin legs.

I don't understand why ZOS keeps making this same mistake with one new motif after another.

Please fix this for ALL the affected styles! @ZOS_JessicaFolsom could you please pass this along to the relevant devs?

The dragon priest looks weird but the middle one looks right. If I remember correctly there is a HUGE metal buckle on the front of the Dovakhiin armor that will cause a shape like that.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but I thought they said the lack of female meshes on newer costumes and armour sets was a mistake and was going to be fixed.

I guess that's not happening now?

I'd have to see the Dragon Priest on a male toon to compare. I can't see anything wrong with the dragon warrior one. Just looks like your boobs are under that hard chestpiece.

It might be looking like this, but the curve is exactly the same as on defomed Trinimac and Mercenary models...

Also it makes char's ribcage noticeably broader, just like other barrel-chest costumes.

I'm testing them on my PTS Nord (Didn't make her on Live yet because of not enough character slots). Like other outfits, the bigger the chest, the most it deforms it. My characters with small chest become pretty much flat-chested, which I don't really mind, but my characters with bigger chests look much heavier than they are.

But there is something pretty weird about the armpits on the Dragon Priest costume.

    bs1bw4q.jpg

The way that left arm (her left, your right) is connecting to the torso doesn't look natural, in my opinion. I don't know if it is just my eyes playing a trick on me because of the shape of the shoulders.

Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

No, you're right. It looks like the character is an action figure or model kit somewhat, due to how the arms connect to the body. Kind of like they're connected via peg system or something like that. Perhaps that is due to the thinness of the arm maybe, or how the costume looks on skinnier characters. I don't know, but you're definitely onto something. That's for sure.

How its related to visual bugs?
No, of course you can ignore all visual issues, use auto-generated chars and play the game on lowest quality. I dont care. But I do think that the position "everything else can burn in hell until that bug is fixed" is silly.
But the thing is, Zos is making money on this stuff. Costumes are worth 1/2 or 1/3 of DLC, so this is a pretty big deal.

I agree with some of that. Maybe you should make a thread about it if it is important for you :)

Keep in mind that what is not important for you might be very important for other people. Not everyone plays the game the same. Some people stop playing a character completely if they can't stand the way they look.

Yes, there are bugs, and they all have to be fixed. Both technical and visual.
I dont see how fixing visuals contradicts fixing technical stuff, its not like artists can do that anyway. And dont forget that crown shop is their way of earning money for updates and fixes. Low quality items=less sales=less money.

    This isn't about boobs!!!

If males were forced to look female that would not be appropriate.... and if females are forced to look male - or ill formed, that is not appropriate either.... otherwise, why provide character customisation in the first place....

We may as well have had a gender neutral toon provided for us (and if that were the case, I don't think many of us would have gotten into the game at all)....

Yes there are other issues that need addressing within the game, but judging by the size of the thread regarding female light armour, for many people this is a particularly important one.

I just checked those costumes inworld on my characters. You might know my breton archer from pictures, where she is wearing the Bosmer doeskin outfit. She has a slim waist and feminine hips. When she puts on the new nord costume, her chest is not that much deformed, like I saw it on pictures of others, but .... she looks like she would have gained 30 lbs more weight mainly on her waist and belly, and her hips shrunk. She is not tall, so 30 lbs matter, small characters have to be very caring about their weight, because just a few lbs more are a pretty high percentage already and make them look fat.

Well, and then the dragon priest costume - once she is wearing that, I could not tell if that character is male or female anymore. It looks overall not bad, but the missing gender identity is just bad. There is nothing left to tell that she is female.

I remember them saying on an ESO live that costumes and such are no longer made to fit your character mesh. So they use some algorithm to fit the costume 'close' your creation.

Besides this being pure laziness on whoever decided this, it's obviously not working and any fixes they promised have yet to be seen.

Yes!! These new motifs are really causing problems. They make my character lose battles in PvP, get stuck on rocks, and loudly sing Neil Diamond songs. They also cause my auto-immune disease to flare up and my eyelids to swell. And don't get me started on the incessant flatulence.

Seriously, fix this ****! I have a figure competition in Valenwood next week and I need to look my best!
