lush ancestor silk

Hi,

I was just farming mats in wrothgar when I stumbled upon a place where very close together in a circle about 10 nodes with mainly ancestor silk but also a few void bloom showed up. The nodes were called lush ancestor silk and lush void bloom and contained about 8 silk or bloom each. I never saw this before.
I tried to google this but couldnt find anything.

Has anyone an idea what this is about and how rare this is. Are there places were you have a extra chance to find these?

You had a clothing survey that you received as a reward for a daily clothing writ. Once you come near the nodes, the writ will disappear from your inventory and you can harvest the nodes.

SO THATS WHAT CLOTHING SURVEYS AND BLACKSMITHING SURVEYS ARE FOR!
I thought they pointed out crafting stations or something XD
I have alot of them, so ill be farming today.

You are the only one that can pick the lush nodes for your survey. Most likely what you are seeing is another player that is picking up their own lush nodes from their survey

And, you don't see their Harvest Animation either, so basically you see the other player moving from spot to spot but just standing there at each one. Or, maybe I just run into players RPing being Bees.

This applies in Wrothgar for all the top mats. They have diff names and when harvested the quantities are greater and when I gathered, they didn't need refining. I've seen this for cloth, wood and Blacksmithing only.
Maybe it's a bug but it's not limited to the player doing the survey....the first time it occurred I wasn't pending a survey, I was just questing and VR16 with max crafting in each.

It was a quest I was on and another player was there doing something but I harvested all and they kept respawning for 20 mins or so. Ended up with 50-80 of each.

It's only happened twice tho. And I forget the zone but there was a cave (not Delve) with bears close by.

There are only 3 different surveys in each zone for each material (e.g. Wrothgar Clothing Survey I, II and III) except provisioning, which doesn't have surveys.

If you don't want to look for/remember each spot, on PC there are add-ons that mark the location for each survey in your backpack on the map and compass. For consoles, you can find maps to the survey spots on several websites.
