Cheaters get to keep all their mats? What about the people that didn't?

Only just found out about this, majorly annoyed at how much the cheaters were allowed to profit off of it. Honestly, if I knew about the exploit, and that the punishment was going to be that light, I'd have used it myself.
We have people with TONS of tempers, rosins, ruby mats, etc. and they're now able to profit even further by selling them at high prices to the people that didn't use the exploit.
I demand that the players that didn't use the exploit are compensated in some way. The cheaters got a huge advantage over everyone else and, unless we get something to level the playing field, it's going to take us a hell of a long time to catch up.

Now players who farm mats in a legit way are in disadvatange, and tons of extra mats are not good for economy.

✭honestly idk what is the big deal about them making money in a lol video game. The real issue i have is that the devs are going to up the RNG in order to compensate completely hindering everybody else who did not cheat. We are not getting compensated AND we are getting punished. The people who cheated only get a slap in the wrist with a weak three day ban and get to keep the mats. People who did not cheat are being punished long term with a lower drop rate. If this was CCP from eve online, those poeple who cheated would of had gotten those assets removed, a one month ban along with a strike on their account, three strikes and you were out. They dont ** around with their economy.1 -

It doesn't exactly fly to "demand" you be praised and given prizes for doing the right thing. They're going to lower drop rates to compensate for all the extra mats currently in the game. That means the people who didn't cheat are actually going to suffer.
It's like noticing that 1% of the population has 99% of the wealth, and then deciding to make the problem better by making it more difficult in general for people to earn wealth. How will those who are to be compensated be identified?
Eh. At the end of the day, anybody who admits that they would have exploited if they knew they would merely be subjected to a slap on the wrist with a wet bus ticket is as bad as anybody who actually exploited.
Just accept that the world does not conform to your view of fair and right and move on.1 -

That was a masterful blunder by ZOS in my opinion. People went as far as advertising they were borrowing mats and gold right before character copy so they could keep it on console and return it on PC, and ZOS were fine and dandy with it. I don't do consoles, but that one really struck me as legalised exploiting.0 -
