So I'm forced to PvP in order to make gold???

Now we go into PvP and most stuff you get is not bound+ you can get the drops worth 100k up till 500k

I PVP heavily, apart from Vicious death purple items there really isn't much you can get of massive value (except gold end of campaign rewards).

IC is a PVP zone with PVE elements FYI.

Thats MMO and this MMO has pvp and pve both in it... I hate Maelstorm Arena but i need to make to have MSA weapons... before for DSA master weapons...and i think it should be like that...other way they need to make two different game not ESO

Most items you get from pvp won't sell for much and surely not for 500k. There might be a few that do (maybe legendary vicious death rings) but getting those requires a lot of time and a high consume of expensive potions.

If you want to get money without collecting mats or looking for motives, the best would probably be trading, stealing, crafting writs and normal MoL.

The only thing that makes serious gold in pvp is the top 2% end of the campaign rewards and some rare items like Sharpend VD swords.

Most stuff you get from rewards of the worthy isnt even worth selling.

PVP can be expensive as well, the immovable pots always tend to vanish rapidly from your inventory.

Crafting is a great money maker.

Make 8 master crafters. Do the 8 sets of writs everyday.. Collect hirelings mail twice a day when you can... Profit. I do everything but provisioning and alchemy on all eight netting me 20k just on hand in.

Sold 100 dreugh wax last night for 500k.... 10 kutas for 100k. I also grab the intricate rewards, turn them blue and sell them for 1k each.

1.9mil sitting in my bank and none of it comes from PVP.

Going around, gathering nodes, sell for bunches of gold. Or simply find a grind spot, kill everything and sell all the trash gear.

If you think PvP is where the gold is, you are doing something wrong in PvE. I do both, my gold is made in PvE mostly, and easily done.

From what I've heard, it costs a whole lot of gold just to get geared and potioned up for PVP to be able to even compete at the level where you can get the valuable rewards. And even then there's no guarantee you'll get the best stuff.

You can make plenty in PVE, just be creative. Search for previous threads with titles like 'how to make gold'.

PVP is great fun, don't be afraid. Will hurt first time but you can get good at it, and even if you suck you will get the rewards. I'm making more money selling rewards for the worth than I ever did in the whole game. Suck it up, breath and join the queue.

I think PvP will be a viable money maker again when DB goes live with the RNG bags. But even that, after the first few weeks, will die down.

No. Quite the contrary.

Every trash mob has a chance of giving you gold directly plus your loot from mobs can be sold to a merchant for gold ... currently i fill my pockets and my bank account with doing exactly this. You get very little gold per item, true, but its adding up nicely.

In PvP I get an ROTW every 12k AP ... or is it 15k ? (I always forget to check, sry) ... this one item sells for a little more if you find a buyer using guild-shop.

This said, I noticed that while doing cadwells gold quests the mobs give more gold on kill compared to wrothgar or IC (cadwell mobs give 20-26 gold per kill and wrothgar/IC give 6 gold per kill) and the items sell for a solid (regardless of level or quality) price. The "sells to merchants for an increased amount of gold"-trait drops pretty often too.

Well, that is my experience.

Other than some of the sets that you get from ROTW and end of campaign rewards (namely Vicious Death) you don't earn much money PvPing. Yes, you can sell the other sets but most people don't care for Fasalla's Guile/Fury/Transmutation and Marksman/Leki/VD sell best as Jewelry and/or Weapons only.

I do agree that the BoP crap is annoying but honestly, I make all my money just doing PvE content because my PvP character is always broke. The cost of doing PvP competitively is quite high, with all the soul gems, potions, etc that you need to use to stand a chance at all in there, you're better off just farming mobs and selling everything you pick up instead.

I personally prefer stealing to earn my gold.

From playing and making gold from both sides of the game(PVE/PVP), the OP is dead on with this. Motifs are the only real way for PVE'ers to make decent gold when compared to PVP Reward Gold items that can sell from 25k to 3 Mill. And that Motif market is such a short one. The first week the DLC's out, they sell for 100K plus for a single page, within 3 weeks that same page is down to 10k. Even AP sells for decent gold. It's not hard to earn because we love fighting other players.

@ZOS needs to stop making the DLC sets BOP and change them back to BOE. It will create a better economy and allow people more build options.

I don't know what OP is talking about. I spend more gold PvPing than I could possibly make from the measly Rewards for the Worthy. Killed players and keep guards do not drop gold or loot. In PvE questing, delves, farming, I never use potions and I hardly need buffs. With irregular PvP and regular PvE, I sold potions at a tidy profit. With regular PvP, I am potion starved, going through multiple stacks in a weekend. If anything, I'm losing gold PvPing.

One decent PVP item can easily sell for 10k. 200 Raw materials gathered by a PVE player sells for what, 4k at most? Yes, you do lose gold when PVPing but only if you use actual gold to buy siege and repair materials. You can earn AP and buy those exact same things....

You're wrong. I made over 1 million gold as a PvE player by logging in once or twice a week for half an hour (approximately 1-1½ hour a week). So there are other ways to earn gold.
