what's the best way to medium weave with swallow soul?

Hi, I have no trouble medium weaving or animation canceling (a system I hate but feel forced to use to compete) with my magic sorcerer (on console) but I recently made a magic nightblade and can't seem to get it working reliably with swallow soul, this is resulting in what looks to me like merciless resolve taking 6 hits to proc rather than 4 or doesn't proc at all. Clearly I'm doing something wrong but the few things I've tried don't seem to be working out.

Spliffo✭✭✭✭You can't cancel it with swallow soul in xbox. I have to release the weave then cast swallow and block cancel, not sure if it's the same with force pulse or not but this works reliably on my nightblade6

Steel_Brightblade✭✭✭✭Force pulse I can do it fine with. Maybe just more practice to get it right then, perhaps with the changes coming in DB it will be easier as it says it will clearly show each move.0
