Gamepad not working on PC

I've always used an Xbox 360 gamepad to play ESO on my PC... until today. For some reason seems like the gamepad sends no more imputs to the game and nothing work. The gamepad itself is perfectly fine (tested it with other games) it's just that somehow it stopped working completely only with ESO for some reason.
Anyone had this happening or can tell me how to signal the issue?

Because i hate playing iwth it and i'd rather not play at all then using a keyboard in an "action combat" game?
Please don't make this tread a "keyboard and mouse vs gamepad" one... everyone has his own preferences... like some people would quit playing if they were forced to play with a controller i'd quit playing if i was forced to play with a keyboard ^^ -
bloodenragedb14_ESO✭✭✭✭✭i do the same, i use the gamepad for general gameplay, though for crafting and the like i switch it off
try closing the client and trying again, that usually works for me when this happens -

Did that already, i even tried shutting off the gamepad control, restarting, turning it on, restartiing.. nothing seems to work -

hmm, then you may want to send a ticket into support
make double sure your connections from controller to pc are all correct before you do though, might be a hardware problem, otherwise i dont think i have any advice other than open a ticket and hope support replies -

THey are.. as i said i tested it with other games to be sure and it works totally fine.. the issue is ONLY with ESO and ONLY starting today

Garldeen✭✭✭✭Silly question, perhaps, but you checked that the game pad option is enabled? I use a controller too and randomly my option gets unticked. Very unlikely, but start with the obvious and work way up from there.
Side note. I agree with you about no controller, no play. My controller broke last week so I tried to return to mouse and keyboard (as I spent the first year of the game, until controller support came out). Hated every min of it so took a break until new controller arrived -

Necrelios✭✭✭✭✭I had a similar problem, it turned out to be the micro usb cable on my Xbox One controller for PC. I replaced the cable with a spare cell phone charging cable and now it works fine

The thing is that... as i said.. it works perfectly fine with everything BUT ESO... so i guess the problem does not lie in the controller itself... -

✭Hard to imagine a reason why ESO would suddenly stop functioning with your gamepad, there wasn't an update or any change in code structure so logically one has to assume that nothing went wrong... -

Have had the same thing happen to me. You aren't alone. Mine works with every other game. It worked just yesterday, but today, I plug it in, and it wo t do a darn thing. I've made sure gamepad mode is checked, made game made available so I could switch, unplugged and plugged back in, logged in and out....nothing helps. I fixed it once, but can't recall what worked. If you found an answer, I'd love to know!

Well it seems like you have done just about everything I could think of, maybe try a different port or go into the settings and turn off unplug turn on plug and see if it recognize it, possibly try a different controller if u have another but if all else fails I would say xpadder and make the same layout
