Get rid of campaign buffs/Emperor buffs altogether

PVP is already extremely one sided. Adding buffs on top of that was a bad idea. Good scores should be rewarded with good loot and bragging rights, that should be the extent of the rewards. When one side is already dominating the other 2 sides, then you throw in all the fancy scroll buffs and give pretty much "power overwhelming" cheat code to the emperor, that makes an already imbalanced pvp even worse. Its time to fix it for the better.

I don't like imbalance, like the recent weeks of gate camping on Xbox EU but I'm afraid I disagreed it helps turn the tide, and it's something worth pushing for. Emporer is hard enough to get a buff to help you keep it is solid i'd say.

Its very ironic that you dislike imbalance, yet you want scroll buffs/emp buff. It helps the team that is already winning and does nothing to turn the tide.

I think that if a majority players were properly engaged in winning the Alliance War, the idea is that the two weaker factions would be motivated by self-interest to push the winning faction. If this were to happen consistently, the buffs would make sense.

However, IMO, only a small minority of players are actively engaged in the Alliance War. The rules/rewards of the game promote individual self-interest.

So yeah, unless this changes, I agree: get rid of buffs. The Alliance War is a fundamentally broken concept at this point.

Only thing i find extremely unbalanced is emperor siege. I watched emperor wipe entire groups with could harbor balistas. You can take 40k dmg in 1 sec (20k innitial hit + every tick for 16k+) which is completely ridiculous.

Apart from the emperor himself, these buffs aren't so enourmous. They are neither what makes nor what keeps campaigns one sided. The emperor buffs may do so if the campaign is not very populated, which imo isn't such a bad thing because it means when it actually turns the tide, it's usually because it prohibits "nightcapping".
Of course all these buffs are an incentive to nightcapping. But I don't think the players who do that on a regular basis do it for the buffs.

Which is a bug. It was never intended to come back after they nerfed it in 1.1, but like everything else, molasses must be trudged through to get something fixed around here.

When it reared its ugly head again was when emp siege vs keep walls wasnt working, so they fixed that, but it also doubled damage vs players, something they distinctly removed from the game almost 2 years ago.

Congrats, you managed to hit the nail on its head. There is a big difference between what the devs inted and what the actual outcome is. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the current structure is broken. Maps are dominated by 1 faction and the loosing faction moves to other map and dominates there. To add buffs into this massive imbalance is just asking for more imbalance.

I agree, which is why I would prefer they changed the way things were rewarded to actually favor pushing objectives and winning the campaign.
