If you switch off the UI then try to type in emote in chat using '/' then after turning UI back in chat is broken and unusable unless you reload UI.

Could do with fixing.

    Yep, it's a bug. I got this, I think, last year already, but I only get the chat back when I completely relog (this reminds me that I still have to assign a button to reload the UI lol).

    Actually you can fix this without relogging. Hit "." To go to the mode where your mouse hovers over the screen (or inventory, skills etc) and select the bottom left of the chat box. Pick any chat you're not currently in, and viola.

    I'm more interested in know how to turn off the UI. It would bre great for screenshots
    I am the very model of a scientist Salarian, I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
    I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
    My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.

    Using the addon options to reload the UI also brings its functionality back.

    Go to Settings > Controls and look under Interface section for a HideUI option - bind a key to that function.
