Questions about the removal of Veteran Ranks

Hello there,

Can someone please explain exactly what Veteran Ranks will be replaced with? Will we ALL be level 50s? I understand it will be based off of the Champion Points, I'm just a little confused about the whole thing... -_-

Could someone also explain to me WHY they're removing Veteran Ranks...? I worked my ass off for both of my v16s and I must say, I am not too excited about it.
(Pumped for Dark Brotherhood DLC tho xD)

As far as I know, we'll be back to level 50 and champion points will be our main source of levelling up. Gear won't be vet 1-16 anymore, gear will be given a champion point number and you won't be allowed to use it unless you have accumulated that many champion points.

As for why, it's to remove some of the painfully long grind, as CP's are account based not character based. Essentially once you get your alt character to level 50 he'll be on equal footing with your main.

Not to mention everyone complained about Vet Ranks until they became scheduled for removal.

What I want to know is will we have less crafting materials, all the ones based on vet level i.e rubedite etc or will it just be the same.

Expect those to go from being a Vet 12-14 Crafting mat to being a Champ 125-175 or something along those lines

They also said something along the lines, "if you have a v16 char but not many cp, you will be given enough champion points to reach 160 so that the new gear tier wont be out of range for you since you already have that now"

Does this mean I better start grinding one char to v16, because of the costumes (v2 v6 v10 v16)?
