Crafting bags, then you stop Sub'ing - what happens?

My two mules are trembling with fear...

To me it will be very useful, because I did not use my characters as mules, but had to store all in the bank or guild bank. So far I played them as a team, but it might be, that those crafting bags are character-bound, in this case I will have to reorganize and give any of them a certain amount of any material, so that they can operate on their own and not rely on team efforts. Well, research and so will still be a team effort - one gets a new trait, researches it, and than makes 7 lvl-1 items with this trait for the other 7 to learn it as well. I like to play them as a team - and it would be awesome if that crafting bag would be useable as a team, but I doubt it will be.

For me subbing is well worth $15 bucks a month. I get a crown allowance and access to all dlc's but I understand this is not an option for some and I hope ZOS does add the crafting bag to the crown store so everyone can free up some space.

Na.. It won't happen. It's for ESO+ only. It's only $15.. I spend that everyday on my way home from work.

This game will never go B2P.

ZoS put it in the crown store make everyone happy and you still make your money ;)

Your game will not change at all if you dont sub. Everything will be as it is now and you wont have to pay anything. If you do sub you get a bonus of a crafting bag for all your mats. There has to be some reason to sub. free access to dlc is not enough. They dont put it out fast enough.

Assistants were still the better ESO+ perk option. They're mediocre, but they're consistently mediocre.

With craft bags, people will just sub for a month, fill the bag with as much stuff as they can possibly find during that month, then drop the sub. If you do it right, $15 could last you the entire year or longer.

And if the bags can't hold recipes, motif pieces, weapons, armor, jewelry, treasure maps, IC trophies, bait, spare potions, etc, then they're still pretty worthless to me. My two biggest inventory strains are holding a set of trait items for research, and holding toon gear for after VR removal.

Crafting has never been an inventory issue for me due to its highly profitable liquidity. There's just too much turnaround on it to really invest in a long-term storage unit.

Yeah, I know about "happy wife, happy life" - It makes sense like you say it, but I find it worrisome, when you have to find reasons for your personal spendings - even kids get pocket money to freely decide what to do with it, without to have to justify what they are doing with it. So when someone says "my wife will not give me those 15 bucks either", than this goes too far IMO, there has to be a sphere of privacy, where no partner should have a right to interfere IMO - but maybe it is just me thinking that way.

I have to hope this is free with ESO plus and also a crown store item like DLC ....if not, I'm gonna have a wth moment
If I recall the original version of crafting bags, people who sub get unlimited space for mats. If that is still true, you could offer a lesser version for non-subbers in the Crown Store, like, a 50 slot small craft bag *or* a 100 slot large craft bag (unique, account-wide) for a tidy pile of cash. You could upgrade the small bag to a large bag but couldn't have two bags at once.

It would still be something non-subbers with banks bursting with mats would want, but it wouldn't be nearly as good as what subbers get, to tempt the non-subbers into just paying the $15/month. I get the feeling some other QoL items will appear in the next year and follow this pattern of "one time pay cash for a small boost or get unlimited as part of a sub". They could do this with many existing and as yet to be added features.

What I'm curious about is how the bags work:

Does each character have their own, and therefore you'd still have to pass mats back and forth between characters who craft?

Or is the 'bag' more like a 'bank' that's a new shared inventory for the account that only holds crafting mats?

Also, what's included in crafting mats, everything that goes under 'materials' tab? Including trait/style stones?

What about a 6-month sub - this is not permanent, but I think you can stack those - not sure though. So if you buy like 6 of those, you would have paid for 3 years and get 54,000 crowns immediately to spend on stuff you like as well.

Edit: @ZOS_GinaBruno Gina, could you confirm, that 6-months subs are stackable and can be bought in advance?- Maybe I am wrong, this should be clarified.

As I heard it described, the confirmed crafting bag is just unlimited space for your account where you can cram as much as you want in as long as the items are crafting related, so yeah, wood, ore, refined cloth, trait stones, etc. The speculation about buying a bag without a sub (not confirmed) is that it would also be a single accountwide item but with a finite amount of space.

As I heard it described, the confirmed crafting bag is just unlimited space for your account where you can cram as much as you want in as long as the items are crafting related, so yeah, wood, ore, refined cloth, trait stones, etc. The speculation about buying a bag without a sub (not confirmed) is that it would also be a single accountwide item but with a finite amount of space.

Oh good, was hoping for account wide, since I have a few characters who make use of the same mats.

The other question is, is the bag always accessible to you everywhere, like in the field? Or is it more like an option at the bank teller? And if it's connected to the bank, will the bank assistant have it too?

@ZOS_GinaBruno If you have any of these answers, or any other specific details about the bag, please share!

Account-wide similar to new unlimited tab in the bank would be really cool. I could still play my characters as a team, where each of them has this bag immediately available on login. That would really make me continue to be a happy subscriber.

These are all the same questions I have.

Im sure the bag works as just another "bank" just your bank does now. You wont have to deposit mats tho they would just automatically go there. I cannot wait. I keep three or four characters just for storage. I can actually play them again.

So you subscribe to ESO Plus.
    You get your crafting bags.
You fill them bags with all your items.
Then you stop your subscription and log on.
You won't have access to DLC areas, but will have all your gear from there.
But, what happens to your crafting materials in the bags that previously took up bank/ guild bank/ alts inventory slots???

I would imagine it goes into escrow to be pulled when going to a physical bank. There are quite a few unanswered questions at this point though; the two most notable being the performance improvements in Cyrodiil and Veteran Rank removal.
    Baskin Robbins always finds out.
