Mundas Stone removal notice?

@ShadowChopper1 that is not what I wrote. Go back and read my post. I simply asked a question. No reason to get defensive. Good job twisting the words and making yourself sound like an immature prick. Anyway, I won't waste my time on you as you clearly fail to comprehend even simple posts and instead decide to act out. You have written 2 posts so far and in both you behave immature, what is your problem?

I fail to comprehend simple posts and yet you can't comprehend this entire thread was asking why not simply display the release notes in game. You said you check your character sheet regularly so why wouldn't everyone see their mundus buff is missing. How is that not asking why everyone doesn't do what you do? Also, you called me an immature prick and yet, 1) I never called you outside of your name and 2) you are also commenting on a video game forum.

What tools do consoles have to promote better communication within the community?

I don't disagree that Zeni should have better and more transparent communication. In the absence of that, the PC community has done a great job of filling that gap for ourselves. Most guildmasters and/or officers frequent the forum and Reddit. We then send important info to our guildmates via MOTD updates (vanilla UI) and guild mail (via addons). Most of my guilds used these methods to let everybody know to check and replace their mundus boon.

What steps can console users take to help your fellow players?

Not finding it on the console (and your saying they knew about this from the PC?)

...and the console does not have a mouse or "clickable" area to link to the forums, hence,

Why don't they just post it in the login area where the other info from 5 weeks ago is listed?

That's what I'm referring to, after they realized everyone had it reset they updated (at least on PC) that in the login area, I thought they would have used the same process on console but I guess not.

Not necessary, nor should it be. Community addons, mods or in-game "MotD" updates don't not make a wrong a right.

How difficult is it to put update info in the login screen designed to contain this info. It is just using this screen for its intended purpose lol. How are people even arguing against this?

How difficult is it to check your character? I for one often switch mundus stones for PvE and PvP and when I do either and forget to switch my mundus I notice the difference. How are you even arguing against that?

They can come onto the forums and ask ZOS to add all communication to the login area THEY set up to use.
It is awesome that guildmasters do this for there members, but all we are asking for is some Communication, proper communication, in one area.

I am glad the community helps and I am telling people in area chat now (surprising that no one knows when I am telling them in area chat). You don't want to hear there surprised tones or use of words, but at least I am trying to get the word out as I pass thru areas.

I also don't get, how hard it is to look at the official forum when i notice "oh there's a new patch", srsly...there must be a change, if not, there wouldn't be any patch at all. Even if there were a big popup, i'm sure some would just close it and never notice anything.

Do you console-guys get a message when a new patch is beeing installed?

    and again, not the point...

Put changes to your current character set up due to the patch on the console since they have an area at login for that.

They have 3 community managers that I know of, only asking one of them to write 2 sentences.

They we able to update it during the cake time. If that's what it takes, just add a cake with no benefits so we get some notice of changes to our current character setup (especially since resent patches have never changed out character buffs)

No, not every console player gets a message when a new patch is installed. Consoles have an auto-install feature. So, for someone who may never visit the forums, may never about a patch being installed.

Pop up regarding patch notes being closed right away? Oh, wait, you said you're sure it would just be closed and ignored. I forgot, your word is law.

What gets me is that every time there is a crown store change you get a huge notification anytime you log on. So they obviously don't have any issue with implementation. I guess if it isn't something you aren't going to whip your wallet out for they just have time to notify you in game. Also, for those people saying that everyone should just check the "natch potes" on the forums to stay updated: Have you read these forums?!?!? Most of my guild members stay far away from the forums because of their toxic nature. The needless arguing on this thread being a wonderful example.

I see the concept of "not everyone wants to or has to be like you" is a very difficult concept. But let me put it like this, if they post the update information in the actual update area, I would not be here commenting. And I believe that would be good for all parties involved. But alas! That is not the case and so here I am, wondering why a few self serving individuals believe they are the examples of what all mankind and game players in particular should strive to be.

Actually in the login screen they do post that the newest patch is live.

Actually, the only place I found patch notes was on the website and those aren't updated for console lime they are for pc. Much to your dismay, I was told they were found in the forum. I know, sucks for you guys because now I'm here.
Anyway, Zos also never sent invite codes to register for the forums to most of us digital download people. Many of my guild mates would also like to comment in this thread.
TV specifically asked me to post this quote "I still lolz at the guy telling console players to read pc patch notes. Does it look like I give a flying *** about anything that happens on PC? There's a reason I play on CONSOLE".
He figured since you already think I'm a *** for telling you I don't want to be like you that I wouldn't mind.

Developer Note: We have completely overhauled the Mundus Stone buff system, fixing several issues in the process. All characters with active Mundus Stone buffs will have them removed upon login. The Mundus Stone buff system now remembers the order in which the buffs were applied, and removes buffs in the correct order when using the Twice-Born Star item set.

@ShadowChopper1 Just thought I'd let you know.

    Lazy and inefficient.

Again, the point is not forcing someone to visit an external source. As @ILLESTGLIDER said, the Crown Store Popup was put in place for their quick cash grab schemes. So it's clear where their focuses lie.

Sorry, was currently watching TV, and not trying to be a littleman here, but console players in general want to login and play for a couple hours then get back to real life.

Just post critical changes to a players account in the login screen.

Perhaps you are correct. I just think that the removal of a buff we have to aquire again should be an ingame notice. It isn't listed when I login to the xbox.

Maybe it's time to send in Omni....

As the post you quoted mentioned, the informed us that changes were made at the login screen. They even offered us a link to the patch notes to make it easy for us to find out.

Maybe it is just me, but I read the patch notes vs play the game with my head stuck in the ground.

Console. Displaying a URL doesn't have the same effect as it does on PC.

Again, the point is to fix the lazy and inefficient current form of adding a "lawl here's a link" at login and using the UI with full details. Drop external sources. Not everyone uses the forums, nor should they have to.

Once again, all you're doing is proving two wrongs don't make a right.

Forums are for discussion I thought?

I was posting a discussion on why they do not communicate removal of character buffs on the login interface of the xbox one. Why should I avoid doing that?

If the PC patch notes are the same as the console patch notes, then why don't they just call them Patch Notes for all Updates.

I understand that the PC players on here want to defend the game or ZOS. I am not attacking them. I am asking "why" we cannot get proper communication on the Xbox login screen, especially buffs being removed from our characters.

I believe anytime that an intended change to a character is made, an announcement at login should be required as part of standard operating procedure, regardless of platform.

For an unintended change, it should also be done after the bug or feature is caught if it isn't corrected.

However, honestly, I have to ask for those who claim to not read patch notes, there have been far more significant changes to abilities and skills and so forth over time and in major releases that dwarf the temporary removal of your one mundus stone that I cannot fathom the idea that if you havent read patch notes for changes before you havent been blown out by those other changes?

    it strains credulity.

I admit having to regather all my 8 mundus stones in itself was a trifle bit annoying, but not as much as AFTER that patch, building vr16 TBS for the first time and finding out it seemed to lose my second stone with every other login. Got two VR16 TBS sets purple and gold sitting in storage now gathering dust. Sigh.

On a more positive note, a what if:

WHAT IF your known mundus stones were KNOWN by character and you could at any time any place ACTIVATE one (or two if TBS) with a few clicks? Maybe give you a mundus token. Basically, finding the stone gets you access but you dont have to go back to the spot every time you want to reactivate it.

keeps the initial exploration aspect but avoids the unnecessary re-tread same ground.
