Mundas Stone removal notice?

Where in the game does it say that the latest patch has removed our Mundas Stone?

I don't think it should be required to read the forums to learn of gameplay changes.

It was no change in the gameplay, but a bugfix and you see the removal of your mundus stone when you look at your character sheet.

I think it's because they informed you about a new patch with a link to the patchnotes in the login screen. This forum is the official place for ZOS to inform you about changes/bugfixes etc they make.

Perhaps you are correct. I just think that the removal of a buff we have to aquire again should be an ingame notice. It isn't listed when I login to the xbox.

Maybe it's time to send in Omni....

It wasn't intended, that's why there was no notification.

The mundus should only have been removed for characters that had more than 1 boom without using the Twice Born Star set, as stated in the patch notes. Gina and the others seemed genuinely surprised when the update went live and we reported that all mundus' were removed.

    okay that make sense.

Are they or can they at least put in a notice on the xbox login screen so everyone knows?

    ..and thank for the info!

This mundus stone change happened a while ago... I wouldn't have noticed either, if my guildies didn't write it in guildchat though >.<

I heard a whisper of my name....

This doesn't make sense. Something like this can drastically change the performance for each character/class you play. Not everyone comes to the forums to check up on patch notes. How were those players supposed to know to "check their character sheet" upon login?

Intended or not, the fact that this was something reported on PC, should have been communicated to console players. Keyword there, "Communicated". As in "Communication". It's not hard, at least, I don't think it is. I could be wrong. I've been known to be wrong.

Not that I should be surprised, but when did fixing a bug require creating more bugs? I'm not a developer, nor will I pretend to have any semblance of an idea of what's required, but what in the actual flying duck!?

Communication requieres 2 sides...one side (ZOS) said what they did (official patch notes) the other side (you) didn't hear it....
But sure, it's not hard to read patch notes :)

Btw. IF it changes your gemaplay drastically, you would search why it has changed and lok at your character screen....and then you'll se that your mundus stone is missing.

Still not sure why they don't use the built in notice section on xbox when I log into the game.

(Not disagreeing with what you saying, just stating my thoughts)

Omni, I do agree that the communication isn't centralized. Too many sources to read or pull info from.

Thank you all for your input!

We went through this on the PC, we all lost our Mundus stones. It is a small thing to put back, and if it removed the exploit, understandable.

However, they should tell people that the stone is being reset this time around as they knew it happened for the PC. Perhaps the patch had already been sent to the console people and no changes could have been made to it. And the patch is what drives the announcement at login. If that is the case, they need an alternative method of communicating these things.

This is exactly what @Jailbirdy and I have been trying to say. Thank you!

I guess you can always count on the fanbois to put you in your place when it counts the most.

Look, stop being oblivious to the issue. I have no idea if PC has the luxury of being able to read patch notes in game (you know, like most other MMOs on PC have), however. Assuming you do, console doesn't. I, for one, regularly check the Patch Notes section, but not everyone does. Console doesn't have fancy addons that can quickly measure dps or healing via meters to instantly tell if something is off or if something is working as expected.

This "2 Sided Communication" thing you're talking about is nothing, but a biased answer from someone who can't stop riding the ZOS Carebear Train. The Patch Notes are only communicated in a way that forces individuals to visit the forums. It's an old and archaic way of communicating changes in the MMO world. Not everyone lives on their computers, can't say the same for the Fanboi Regime though.

Bottom line, it's not difficult to have the notes listed, in game, as several other games do. Hell, a Non-MMO game on Xbox One is doing that currently. That's new....and refreshing! No one has ever done that! /sarcasm

No, we don't see the patchnotes ingame. You guys can also read your patchnotes ~2 weeks before they go live on console...just read the pc patchnotes when they are published.

You're not getting it. Why can't you get it? It's not hard to understand.

That's the problem we're trying to point out. We, PC included, shouldn't have to visit a forum to read patch notes. Having them in-game would increase the QoL for a lot of gamers.

Sure, would be nice...but instead they link the patchnotes in the launcher/loginscreen (don't know how they do it on console) so you can get there with one mouseclick. If they publish them ingame, you would also have to do a mouseclick...this doesn't change that much

Not finding it on the console (and your saying they knew about this from the PC?)

...and the console does not have a mouse or "clickable" area to link to the forums, hence,

Why don't they just post it in the login area where the other info from 5 weeks ago is listed?

    Pro-Tip

    Step 1: Find a Box
    Step 2: Open said Box
Step 3: Look inside of it
Step 4: Look outside of it and throw that trash away

There's no need for "mouse clicks" or external links. It's not difficult to have a tab specifically for Patch Notes. It's not.

That's OK though. You continue being you and obliviously keep denying and ignoring the problem.

I can't play much atm. so I'm a lot on the forums. Normally if I had the capability and time, I would dedicate myself to be in the game and not read the forums - ever.

Back when 1.6 patch was released with the justice system and B2P model, I logged in as fast as I could and went to Cyrodiil to see if I could access the Imperial City.... I've done this through all patches untill I could walk into the Imperial City.

    I play on PC :/

On PC Mundus stone buffs list the same place as food and drink/ cake and long term buffs. Is it the same for console?

It is, but that's not the issue.

The issue is not knowing about it, if you never visit the forums. Not everyone does and it would improve the QoL of the game to implement them in-game without the use of external sources.

That is my point. I often check the character sheet to see timers on my long term buffs when doing hard content. I am asking if you do that on consoles as well and if you do how you can't notice if the buff is gone.

You shouldn't have to check your character sheet to know if anything has changed. A Mundus Stone, once activated, should stay on your character sheet. At no point, should it ever not be listed there, unless an update was released that cause this to happen (intentionally or unintentionally).

Wait, that sounds exactly like what happened here.....

Edit: doing hard content? You don't log in and immediately start doing "hard content". That usually requires prep time. So you log in, spend 30min gathering items for "hard content". You're at the front door, about to start, check you buff timers (which isn't necessary because, lets face it, you're using addons for that and, if you're not, you should be reapplying your food/drink buff anyway) and.....whoa! No mundus stone! Spend the next 10 minutes wayshrining, getting your mundus stone and coming back. But now you have 11 other people doing the same thing.

    QoL: Quality of Life.

Deny it all you want, but I'm not buying, one bit, that you love the system the way it is.

I see what you're saying. You're saying because you regularly do that one thing everyone in the game should also regularly do that one thing to be just like you. OR ZoS could post the release notes in the one place everyone in the game will see it without fail every single time. Which is, I believe, exactly what Omni and Jailbirdy have been saying this entire time. ZoS should do what suits the masses, not just you.
