We've pleaded to ZOS in the PTS forums about giving us gold improvement items and opening up 9/9 on weapon and armor trait research ... so that we can experiment around with the new equipment.
When PTS opens up for Dark Brotherhood I'm sure more of those threads will follow suit ... likely in vain.
