Some videos of Maelstrom Arena

I've gotten enough whispers that I ought to post some videos to go along with my guide that I finally got motivated to actually record my runs this week even though my PC doesn't like it. These are not edited, selected, or even meant to be perfect. They are what they are: my actual experiences, with my mistakes, on my PvP oriented builds using vendor trash pots (except final boss where I think tri-stat pots make it much easier).

The strategies I use are meant more so for a conservative approach that minimizes risk as opposed to maximizes score as that is what I recommended in my guide for players just looking for help and a complete. I know vMA can be extremely frustrating and doesn't have a sterling reputation as the perception that it's something for "min-max" builds, "hardcore" players with max champion points is prevalent. While I personally think some of the arena's mechanics should have been done differently, I disagree with the notion that only the top X% players can do this. Most of the people who ask me for advice have stronger PvE oriented builds than I do and I certainly make my fair share of mistakes. I do not make specific changes to my characters, do not use special potions, have the "wrong" races/morphs/CP distribution, make mistakes and I get this done in about 90 minutes with about 7 deaths or so (faster and less dying on my sorcerer). In short, I don't think you should be intimidated by Maelstrom Arena if it's something you'd like to do.

I recorded what I think are either the most difficult stages/rounds or those that it is really helpful to see (as opposed to read) a strategy. I used my DK and templar as these are perceived to be more difficult than sorcerers. The playlist can be linked here:

Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.
