Hello there Forum,

Yes you guessed right from the title that this is gonna be one of 'those' threads. So grab your salt and tissues on the way to crying- and saltyness-lane.

I try to keep it as short as possible and hopefully can make a point that we all can talk over without tooo much flaming and hidden insults towards each other (players and guilds <3) By the way this is all gonna be about PvE because I don't want the same old PvP war in here <3

I have been playing this game from the start of beta and could, thanks to a job that allows me to work from home, play the game alot. I always have/had fun playing this game, sometimes more sometimes less, but lately there is another problem.
Because although this is somewhat of a crying thread, I have soooo much fun playing and raiding in this game again, basically more fun raiding than ever before in here. The new trial is so challenging and fun but that is where the crying starts.

1. The crying part:
Every time this game and particularly raiding is acutally fun, Zenimax or 'the game' finds a way to completely rob that fun and shove it up a place where the sun doesn't shine.
The raidgroup I am raiding with in 'Beyond Infinity' got the >Vet< Endboss down to 600k Life (<1%), 2%,3%,3%,4%,5%,5%,6%,6%,6% + some other trys around there, ALTHOUGH the endboss mechanic was bugged so far. We found out on Sunday that the boss is bugged, but we knew we would be able to manage to kill him anyways if we keep trying hard enough.
So we went in yesterday again and our best try was 600 000 of 64 000 000 life when we completely figured out how to kill him anyways thorugh the bugs, but then the lagg started. We worked so hard on the boss, sometimes even got no death till his last 10% and suddenly we were not capable of getting him under 50% anymore. People started disconnecting, getting 400+ ping and we had to call it for the night.
Can you imagine how frustrating that is, if you know how to kill it, showed that you could do it easy but simply can't because the boss or the game isn't allowing you to do it simply because of BUGS and LAGS? - i mean how s**t must the servers be when 8/12 people get all 300+ping together in a raid dungeon.
And that kind of stuff happened over the past few weeks. Might it be for the 2nd Boss where you didn't get a correct color change, no animations of negates and the constant disconnecting.
The extremely annoying part of it though is NOT that those bugs exist, IT IS because Zenimax lets them in game for weeks. Bugs can happen if you change stuff or implement new things, but not giving a s**t for weeks or sometimes only even changing it with the next dlc is the point where I loose all the joy in the game.
I made a bugthread few weeks back and posted, together with other people, every single bug we found in the new raid and didn't get a single repsonse to it, with most of those bugs still being in the game at the moment

2. A bit more crying:
And to name some other things that really keep robbing the fun out of the game:
- old trials still not Vet16 scaled, became a challangeless 2sec fight runs
- Zenimax bowing down on nearly every ocasion to the roleplaying NB with a bow in hand that can't sneak in a trial and thusfore gets his imersion destroyed, but still wants to be able to do over 90000000000 dps crybaby
- broken loot system
- broken loot (new sets, expect 1/4) complete s**t, sorry
- major bug fixes only every 2 weeks or next DLC: I mean cmon, in which other MMO, a game developer can afford to say "yeah we are aware of that bug, but we are not gonna fix it soon. maybe next dlc"
- and many other things, that stood in forum and apparently nobody cares about from Zenis side

3. The last bit of salt:
This game hass the potenial to be , or regarding the PvE side it in a way actually is already, to be a very fun and enjoying game if not for the constant bugs, laggs and anxiety from Zenimax side to change something in loot/drop or whatever systems. I mean why are some other MMO's constantly working so good or still popular? - Because the systems in the game work, but here I think, sometimes, the need to be unique and make something unique is bigger than the acutal thought of satisfying people.

4. The conclusion
I made this post, even knowing what those post normally do in forums (yeah i am prepared for the "go away you f*cktard* flames) because I like the game so much that i have been playing 200+ days over the past two years. I get that many decision from Zenimax' side are made to "fit" the biggest player base, but you simply can't deny that there are some problems that someone over there needs to take a hand on and simply fix or change them. I love to play this game, but on a daily base over the past weeks, might it be the lagg, bugs, or whatever, I loose and loose the joy to play this game and it is already sad enough to see other good players quit because of it.
You made of the most interessting and boss fight i've ever seen with MoL, but this game needs a change because otherwise, and there I actually for alot of people in my guild, people won't have the energy or fun anymore to cope with the "problems" they get thrown at every day in this game, at least in PvE Raiding.

5. the real end:
If you made it thus far or are already half way typing in your flame, thanks for listening to my whining. Thanks Zenimax for making such a great and challenging new raid, but now its time to grow a pair and do something.

    @Baumlaus , the boss was never bugged... They just added a new mechanic to the execute phase. If you guys did proper research you would find out that the orbs actually buffed the boss within the second the beam hits boss. So you had to be quick.. at first this mechanic wasn't really what zos intended to have on the execute phase but they decided it would actually be a good addition to make the end stage of the boss interesting.

    Now they changed it so you can remove the resistance that the orb grants even after the beam has hit the boss.

    We had crashes/disconnects for over 3 weeks. Then all of the sudden it stops, although ZOS did not change a thing. I do really not understand that. Up to the last boss there are almost no issues. At last boss hell is gonna break loose and you better be lucky to not get crashes. Hell, I even saw a whole Console Guild getting kicked out of the trial, back to their starting point and the trial was restarted LOL.

    We reported all those bugs and disconnect issues on PTS. Nothing was changed at all, in fact, it got even worse on live.

    Last boss isn't an issue if you know the mechanics. the last 11% are super hard, but it is doable, I am kind of sad that they took out this noobfilter of mechanic now.

    @GeertKarel & @Alcast like I said in my thread. We know how the mechanic works, we know it was doable the way it was, but the second we figured out those mechanics we had the laggs and simply couldn't get there anymore. We had him down to 600k life, so you see that we knew how to do it, just needed a few more trys.

    Okay, ye it is so weird. I mean we basically had LESS issues in the last PTS version of the game...I just do not get it...how they can break the game so hard.

    Ye I know what you mean, we also had *** 3 weeks of crashes on last boss where we could not do *** at all...It is very demotivating and it already caused some guilds to kill themselves(disband) because people were too annoying of this crap.

    This kind of stuff also completely destroys the competitiveness between guilds as we can not progress because of the huge amount of bugs and crashes/dcs

    Guys from our experience of 3 weeks crashing all I can advise is that it seems okay for us now because we all enter through the main gate in Reaper's Marsh at the same time. Then we start the trial at the same time too.

    Don't swap chars partway through. Don't relog or port to people.

    Since these changes we haven't had any excessive crashing.

    I totally agree. We've been playing this game for a long time, and we've stuck it out for a great deal of bugs, lag, etc. I can say honestly that since TG hit the live server, I have never before in ESO's history seen so many issues... game-breaking issues at that. It really sucks to be so hyped for something, regardless of the content, and have it be unplayable. I welcome a really tough challenge, but I do not welcome crashes and lag... :(

    Thanks for sharing this. We may have to give this a try, and hopefully it helps us too. I gotta say though, it's really, really disappointing that we have to do this kind of thing to play. A lot can be said about a game that requires a workaround just to participate.

    @Giles.floydub17_ESO if you would have read the first two sentences than you would have noticed by there that this thread as no meaning. I like the game but its frustrating to play cause of bugs, that's the point

    So I hear that the execute phase is 'fixed' now, i.e. working as originally intended instead of the more punishing version before, but that the synergy phase is now broken and people are being silenced that shouldn't be?

    Is it that something is broken, or that the synergy phase is also now working as originally intended and how we made it work before is no longer valid?

    Either way, we're nuking the boss to 8% in 1 cycle now meaning we skip the synergy phase completely. vMOL is becoming yet another DPS race for skipping mechanics unfortunately.
