Mundus stones gone on all characters

Umm @ZOS_GinaBruno I did not get the impression from the patch notes that this was supposed to happen on all characters.

Fixed an issue where you were able to obtain multiple Mundus Stone buffs.

Developer Note: We have completely overhauled the Mundus Stone buff system, fixing several issues in the process. Characters that have more Mundus Stone buffs than they should will have all of them removed on their next login. The Mundus Stone buff system now remembers the order in which the buffs were applied, and removes buffs in the correct order when using the Twice-Born Star item set. If your character currently has two Mundus Stone buffs, the order in which they are removed will be randomly determined (one buff will go into slot one, the other into slot two) upon your first login after this change.

Every one of my characters is missing their Mundus Stone now, Vet and lowbie alike. None of them used Twice Born Star.

This is mostly a heads up for everyone.

Can also pick up in Greenshade, Rivenspire or Shadowfen.

Yup. I've never had more than one buff on any of my characters and they've all had their Mundus Stones removed. Others in my guild chat have reported the same.

Running around in cities and hovering over players to see their buffs, it appears that roughly 3/4 of the players I see have no Mundus Stone buffs. So this patch has definitely removed Mundus Stones from a ton of people who only had one buff.

Had the same experience, as did many of those in my guilds this morning. I've never used TWB nor have, to my knowledge, ever had more than one buff active at a time.

While it's not too much of a chore for players who have access to all zones, it's still worth mentioning in case it's connected to a larger, underlying issue.

I took the warrior stone again and relogged. Still have it. So it does not seem to occure again upon relogging.

Thanks this was the only thing I was concerned about. If I log in tonight without one at least I know I should have it when I log in tomorrow.

Hmm, I must have missed where anyone was saying anything even remotely similar to that.

I guess you think it would be better if we didn't report unexpected bugs like this to ZOS? After all, this wasn't supposed to happen to anyone who only had one Mundus Stone, and yet it has happened to almost everyone from what I can see in-game. You don't think it might be a good thing if ZOS knows that there were unintended consequences to the fix they put in?

Can confirm. I restarted game and my Sorc still has his re-acquired stone.

No there is not a warning on login. A lot of people in /zone are talking about it - and I've been seeing people say things like "wow, thanks for mentioning something because I wouldn't have noticed for a long time".

No, but there should be, but since they did not think it would remove them, they did not put the message in. In the mean time, send out some /Zone messages every once in a while to have folks check their Mundus Stones
