So, here I am, one of the few days I can ACTUALLY take a full day to relax and game, and the servers are down....what gives ZoS?

Asking a question, once, on a forum, during the only time I have to relax pretty much until the next holiday, because of an error message that told me to go to the forums, is not being aggressive or trolling, it is asking a simple question, the only people that needs to "chill out" are the people attacking me for asking a question, or telling me to "chill out" hun.

A ddos attack is something as simple as just a computer contacting a server. Ddos attacks usually come from spam mail viruses and there does be hundreds of thousands if service requests, if not millions, every second. It overloads the servers.

Because the requests comes from computers the world over the company being attacked cannot immediatly identify genuine people from spam requests.

Hiring a team to combat ddos attacks is like trying to predict the future. They can't tell who is who.

Even for computers, the likes that Google has, combating a ddos attack so that it in no way affects service is almost impossible. And bare in mind, Google( or Microsoft, Sony or even Apple for that matter) have the power that I they wanted that could find a new prime number. Something that if i found it I would get money for it.

Go ahead and flame me for this, but this is how it is whether r not ou choose to believe it.

Why would I flame you when you did exactly as I asked and posted something constructive?

It just seems that this has become an ever present issue world wide and there should / would be more of an effort to create some sort of software / hardware to combat it.

I am simply frustrated because I usually have 0 time to play 99% of the time, and the one time I decide to just have a chill out day, I cannot play the only game I really play....
