Are recent server issues due to a WIP lag fix?

Hi!
Considering the amount of complaints across all platforms in regards to the lag recently. Is it just a coincidence that servers are having issues in the last days or is it due you all trying to find a solution to the lag?
I know we have always had issues with lag, but as of late all platforms are posting lag issues and all of sudden we are getting kicked off the servers.Makes me think maybe, maybe ZoS is trying something on their end to put an end to the lag or alleviate it. Hopefully.
