[BUG] Guards aren't notified that your bounty has been cleared

This is still happening both for bounties that are paid off at a fence and bounties that are cleared by the timer.

You will get the on-screen notification and sound stating that your bounty has cleared, the UI reflects that by not showing the bounty "wheel" anymore but guards will still stop you and ask for a bounty payment (and take your stolen loot) for several minutes(!) afterwards. And if you decide to run, you get a new bounty ...

This happened to me yesterday after the first quest. I had stolen loot, and decided to wait until the bounty cleared before going into town.

I jumped into the water until the bounty cleared. Ran up the stairs and the guard attacked me again.

The devs had answered this before. It is a known bug. The timer is a bit off. If you pay off a bounty or wait for the timer to go to zero, wait another minute or two and it will be ok. If you clear it and immediately start running around, the system registers you still have a bounty. They are working on it.

Yeah they've gotten me with that too. 0 bounty but accosted by the guards all the same.

Happened to me too. Was carefully sneaking around, tagging the guards with tab so I could see them. My bounty finally wears off and I think phew, now I can just walk around normally. 30s later a guard arrests me and demands I pay my 0g bounty

I of course don't want to lose all the stuff I'm been sneaking around with in my pack, so run away and get another bounty...

As @rotaugen454 mentioned, we are aware and are hoping to get a fix in for this in the next incremental patch.
