Increasing weapon damage

I'm looking for realistic way to increase weapon damage value. What weapon damage value should be considered as good enough? Without rare and expensive rings/clothes and temporary buffs, I mean.

I returned after almost a year “hibernation” so current items set: 5x Hundings Rage, 3xDreugh King slayer, 2x Shadow Walker, all V14. My current WD value is about 2700 and it looks not so great. Any advice?

Another build details: 5 points to HP, 0 to MP, all remaining to ST. 5x Medium armor bonus, dark elf passives (+6% ST). 200 CP, not allocated actually.

What I already learned: increase stamina pool because it directly affects WD, use buffs (2H skill that provides WD boost).

I'm not familiar with some of your set. My weapon damage is 3800 ish buffed with rally. It works for me and I think most dps try to be in 3-4k range.

    Divines trait will help too.
    64 points in stam
    5 medium, 1 heavy, 1 light
    5 hundings
    1 kena
    Rest is ashen grip.
Jewels are 3x agility with WD glyphs.
    2h/bow

    Thank you.

What enchantment on armor? ST or HP? Gold or purple armor?

My gear is vet 16 gold with gold enchants. I think I run infused on the chest with a prismatic defense enchant. I like my health to be around 23k, once it's there it's all stam enchants.

Edit: 23k health after eating food.

Your first objective should be vr16 gear. Hundings is still a great set, but the difference in level is significant (and quality too, gold gear is far superior to purple, same with weapons). I recommend Agility jewelry, at least the Molag Kena shoulder (obtainable through pledge chests), and ideally the Kena helm from WGT. The helm can be quite a long farm depending on your luck, but instead of using a kena helm, you can use Night Mother's.

In summary, here is a good setup until you get the Kena helm:
    5 Hundings Rage
    3 Agility Jewelry
    Molag Kena Shoulders
2-3 Night Mother's Gaze (depending on whether you have two weapons or one).

If you really feel like stepping it up a notch, you can turn that into this over time:
    5 Hundings Rage
3 Agility Jewelry (all robust trait)
    2 Molag Kena
    Maelstrom Weapon(s)

There are other viable alternatives to Hundings Rage as well. One of the strongest contenders to Hundings (of craftable gear) is Night Mother's.

Besides Hundings, get agility jewelry. The three set gives weapon damage. Then get/make three weapon damage jewelry enchants (gold enchants even though the jewelry is purple) and over write the default enchant on your jewelry. That's 4+weapon damage increases on top of hundings and then pick up Warrior mundus.

also instead of ashen grip you can place night mother or night silence :P
night mother minimum 3 pieces or night silence with only 2 pieces is also so good for stamina

Higher stamina makes you do more actual damage, but it does not effect the Weapon Damage stat. Whether you have 9,000 Stamina or 45,000 stamina, your Weapon Damage stat will not change. The conversion factor is 10.46. That is, 10.46 more max stamina will increase actual damage done by the same amount as increasing Weapon Damage stat by 1.

The name of the Weapon Damage stat is a bit deceiving. It is not the actual damage done by your weapon. It is just a number in a formula.
