What is the Twilight Matriarch like post patch (for healing)?

Hello all.

I play on the PS4 so the patch doesn't go through until tonight, and even furthermore I don't have my Daedric Summoning to level 20 yet (let alone the skill level for the morph) so it will be a few days before I have a chance to experience this for myself.

However reading the patch notes it seems like a Sorcerer version of 'Breath of Life'; A non targeted heal that heals a number of friendly targets within a certain radius. Based on the patch notes it seems like it would be a very strong class based healing mechanic for running in dungeons.

I'm just curious of what peoples thoughts are? Is this spell spammable, and could it be a decent tool for a Sorcerer healer in 4 man dungeons? What am I overlooking since on face value is seems like a bit of a game changer for Sorcerer based healing?

Many thanks all

It's very good. Make sure you keep up your Hardened Ward all the time, since it dies really easy.

Oh, awesome. So a presume it is is actually spammable then? Assuming I can keep my Matriarch alive is then would its healing ability have potential to actually become a main viable healing method? I.E possibly even replace skills such as Healing Springs?

    Thanks again.

The pet itself is very fragile, in hard fights you may find yourself recasting it multiple times when going for a heal. It works well for a substitute healing spell and you can act as a backup healer if the main healer goes down. I had one group where we got 3 Sorcs and all of us used Clannfear and Twilight, the healer swapped to Damage and had the pets do all the healing.

Yeah it's pretty good, because I don't need healing ward now i dropped the resto for DW. not sure how good it will be in PvP though.

In PvE it works well, but don't rely only on this skill if you want to be the main healer of the group.
I play all Healers in endgame content but my main is my Khajiit Nightblade.

Used it to 2man CoA on vet16. Absolutely amazing. Just keep your wards up.
