2 new classes, idea

It's hard to make new classes when the 4 we have cover alot, we don't want to overlap, but anyway here's 2 ideas, -to lay some ground, there's basicly warriors, rogues, mages.

-Ranger, rogue like class

Focuses on ranged attacks, buffs, summoning animals

- summoner- mage like class

Focuses on summonings, debuffs (perhaps integration of illusion magic like in OBLIVION) maybe an ability like "eternal darkness" makes opponet s screen go totally black other than HUD and actault character for so many seconds,

    Since we are an online RPG, we shouldnt even have classes to stay more true to TES.

    I do all that with my Khajiit Sorcerer. I use a Bow, Medium Armor, while having both Clannfear and Twilight. One pet generates aggro and tanks for me while the other one gives me a nice group heal.

    Rangers summoning animals sounds more WoW than it does TES. I'd personally prefer more of a "WitchHunter" rogue-like class with anti-magic abilities, ranged focused, debuffs.

    Summoner would be good, but the pets still are not in a place where they could be relied on so heavily in PVE or PVP. (PVE you can kind-of get away with it since the enemy AI doesnt move too much) I'd vote for the Necromancer Ice magic focused, summon undead, or even do what the NPCs do and use dead bodies to summon a skeleton. For the stamina sorcs out there, give them bound weapons that can scale off weapon damage and max stamina, also enables the use of other skill trees.

    For example you could have steel tornado and Force Pulse on the same bar, once you use bound daggers, it turns your staff into 2 daggers and Steel tornado could then be used.

    Since you need to be reminded: TES had classes since TES 1: Arena.

    Getting closer to actual TES classes would be nice though...

    How about new skill line ideas:

    Ice magic
    Blood magic
    Fire Magic ( DK is not a fire mage )
    Nature Magic
    Death Magic
    Necromancy ( summons skeletons, zombies & liches )
    Conjuration Magic ( summon daedra and spirits )

    New weapons:
    Scythe
    Spear / Halberd
    Crossbow / dual-wield mini crossbows
    Trident
    Fist weapons ( spiked knuckle dusters ) stam build ppl take your weapons off and see how hard your fists actually hit for...

    Just some quick suggestions I have from the top of my head I usually have more but I am too lazy right now ( annoyed since my game is still updating )

    My thoughts on all "new class" topics are well known by now. I believe adding new classes to be a bad decision, since it would exclude veterans who made all their characters many months ago, and invested a lot of time bringing them to their current state... and who then would feel cheated if there were new classes added they could not have chosen way back when they made their characters (not to mention, the issue of character slots, though I hear these will show up in the crowen store soon)

    And thus I always mention my Class Morph Idea, which is based on not adding new classes, but allowing to "morph" your class through adding a fourth class skill line, in an "pick one outta three" kind of way, Oh, and palette shifts to existing skills, to make the new "morphed class" more visually different...

    And yes, I have a ranger-ish class motph for nature-loving nightblades there. ;)
    Though nightblades themselves are already the rouge-ish ones, while sorcerors are the summoners in ESO.

    Veteran players with 8 max characters shouldn't have a problem leveling a character when more slots are releasesld. WOW does it all the time, no problem, just more replayability imo

    actually sorc is only part mage, since they only have the conjuration, alteration and lightning magicka spells where as a real mage uses all of the schools of magicka

    If there was gonna be a new skill line/class, I'd like to see something unique, like a hagraven-esque type class. They have some cool abilities.

    Witchhunter:

    A harassment focused stealth class, built around breaking buffs, and silencing magicka users, with few defensive options of their own.

    Battlemage:

    A heavy combat mage class that focuses on enhancing their weapons and armor through buffs. Such as adding elemental damage to their weapons. Specifically built around pushing a split build, with magicka based buffs that boost stamina based weapon skills.

    Just let this "new class" idea go... they can barely have a functioning game with the 4 classes we have, and they all overlap and can do than just 1 role.

    If this game csn survive the 5 year plan, I highly doubt you'll see a new class..... just let it go.

    i would like a class that can fly and attack from air like Storm from the X-Men, but then again. it doesnt fit the lore.
    remember it everytime i see my sorcerer "storm calling" skill tree :(

    "...kinda like dragon age origins" is certainly reason enough to deep six that idea.

    To be fair, DAO's specializations are something that, basically, already exists in ESO. It's just one more skill line, which we already have a lot to pick from.

    But you can do it in Morrowind, with a levitation spell and some lightning spells.

    I support this I would love to see Tridents and Spears! I love that we have Scythes in game now even though they are still considered axes.
