Formula for ESO to Become the Best MMO after WOW

1. Fix most of the bugs (I don't even feel confident enough to say all of the bugs);
2. Fix Cyrodiil lag (No 250+ ping, up to this point I think 200-250 max ping has become acceptable for me after lagging for sooo long);
3. A little bit of other improvements such as fixes for animation cancelling, jumping animation, etc.

Are there any MMOs out there that need to do less to become the best MMO of today????

Best MMO? Its not an MMO according to their suits. So they would first need to make up their mind what they consider the game to be then take it back to dev because after 9 years the games not even close to being in working order.

DC Universe Online is right up there. I enjoy it quite a bit but it does have it's own problems I suppose. They are addressing the PvP imbalances currently and with some great success from what we've seen. They release new content monthly and send through an update or two monthly as well. They will be launching on Xbox One this spring and recently implemented a crossplay function that allows players from the Playstation servers to play with those on the PC servers. I suppose you could say they merged the servers.

For the most part their staff is pretty decent too. They actually have dialogue with their community and not the political non-answer hogwash that ZOS attempts to feed their community.

i was guess that much but honest WoW is even close to ESO in anyway consider the WoW is ssssooo easy now days it is so shame full to even call that game MMO anymore WoW was good game all way to end of Lich King then blizzard decide everything should made easy and those lvl boost is just stupid that WoW have now skip the whole game only play last 10 lvl of game.

People seem to be ignoring mini games and events. One of the things that WoW did right is that they had some really nice mini games and events that changed through out the year. SWTOR ignored this and suffered, and this game has so far ignored it and suffered. There is more to a game than just pvp, dungeons and questing.

There are more than enough lore friendly holidays to add some events to the game. Have events where draugr or undead attack cities, where bands of ogres raid towns, where daedric princes spread havoc. We NEED these things to lighten the mood and switch things up, as of now its quest, pvp or bust, which can and does get tedious.

ZOS have already stated that they are working on in game seasonal/holiday events, due end 2016/early 2017. Sorry but can't find quote.

Such a shame ZOS cannot accomplish any of these.

If ESO wants to be taken serious as an mmo they need to fix the problem that other players are just backgroundnoise with a blue bar atop their head instead of actual human players. First thing to achieve that is actual nameplates atop our heads, including title and a chosen guild.

I think you can have health bars over the top of players, but not the actual name. Need to target people for that.

You can see the names of the players Feels much more like a community. It would be even better for ESO since it is smaller and people are more likely to bump into each other.

I can take every imbalance and put it aside for one beautiful request... Fixing Cyrodiil lag. Do this, ZOS. Do it. Hell, if you can't do that, at least add in another 7 day campaign.

I think they need to have holiday events, limited time things that have people log in once in a while to do them, instead of thinking 'eh, I'll finish this game later'.

I would also like it if there were more 'racial' consequences in the game. Have the game's dialogue acknowledge that you're a khajiit, or elf, or nord. I really liked the fact that they changed one of the quests slightly if you were an orc in wrothgar, I'd like to see more of that. One thing that really bugged me was when my EP argonian came across a really racist dark elf who kept spouting how he couldn't trust any of the argonians, but for some reason had no problem with my character.

And as a long time player, there were some changes they made that I really didn't care for. I really wish they'd bring back the softcap for stats as well. When that was in the game, people actually could make decent hybrid builds and play as they wanted, not just pure magic or pure stamina. The variety of builds was much more interesting. Not to mention that it made the racial bonuses a lot less lopsided.

And this really won't effect the gameplay long term or anything, but another change they made that always really bugged me was that they put new players/characters in the main city, instead of the starter islands. The starter islands made more sense and were less confusing for newbies. If older players wanted to jump to the mainland right away, there was always that boat to get there.

A post explained how to fix Cyrodiil lag and it's actually the AoE caps and bot net code that has seemingly caused the most lag in PvP. Once those two are dealt with we'll have performance just like in beta to early times of the game.

You need WAYYYY more than just this to become the best mmo or even get in the realm of comparing it to WoW. One of the key things you missed are PvP arenas/battlegrounds. That is one of the reasons why WoW does well. There is also a huge range of other things ESO needs like race change/features, scaling up the past trials, and I'm sure there is more I just can't think of atm.

the steps are simple to understand and I feel they are quite correct as well. however, especially 2) seems to be very hard for them to do:

here's an EASY alternative imho:
lower the f***ing pop caps again. the improvements you've made were good - buit not enough and you ruined msot of it by raising caps again.

if a campaign is currently at 3bars each, it's incredibly nice. going from there to locks makes it worse and going to completely full with queues means the campaign becomes unplayable
