RNG - Furniture and Urns

Got a question about how RNG works...
Is the RNG calculated when I open an urn/furniture, or are the contents determined when I enter the instance or building? I know it doesn't matter, but I'm curious. I'd like to know whether I could be leaving an Imperial motif in an unchecked urn or something. Or if opening an urn is just another independent roll of the dice.

I would imagine the RNG is predetermined and stored on the server ahead of time to save processing time every time you open a pot or cupboard. But I actually have no idea.

Back in the day, and this could have changed, I became convinced that there would be one motif, if you were going to get one, in a building or delve. This is based on how I never found more than one motif in any building/delve in the game, even though I could find multiple motifs on one login in different places. This is with hundreds of Motifs, not just a few. Nothing has changed in the motif appearance behavior to make me think otherwise.

The ones that drop from Dungeon Bosses, like the ones in Wrothgar may not follow this scheme. In fact, it would make more sense that they don't. But I have not found more than one in a dungeon trip, but then again, I think I have found two of the Ancient Orc motifs, so I don't have much to go on there.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I've ever found more than one motif in any building/delve either.
