Why are there infused shoulders on the vendor??? This is complete garbage, the vendor should have nothing but impen gear and at the very least divines on small pieces like that. Do you even know how your own game works?

You can get the undaunted sets, but not in the perfect trait. If you want the perfect item, you need to farm it. Be happy you can at least get the items. Sounds really reasonable to me.

The Cyro vendor was thought among PvPers to be a way for people to offload some AP for something akin to "best in slot" for their build. Much like how PvE people can eventually get BiS for their builds by running trials and such over and over, PvP players were supposed to be able to get the best stuff for their content by doing a lot of their content: murdering each other over and over. So it seems rather against what everyone thought the vendor was all about. But maybe it wasn't actually about us and they just wanted a common area for PvE players to go to in order to get their BiS helms and shoulders. It's a lot easier to say that the vendor is in Cyro than that the vendor is in your faction's capital, I guess.

The problem is I've already farmed most of these sets in the past, I'm sorry but vet dungeons stopped being fun over a year ago. If they are going to offer items for 200k ap, they had better be best in slot.

200k ap is nothing. you make it so easily in 2 day. people take stuff these days so granted thats its seriously ridiculous, go play single player game where you can hax the stuff into your game so you have all the perfect stuff.

Because ZOS specifically already had the PTS vendor set up w/ Infused big pieces, Divines small pieces. It's not good for PvP because Impen, but it's at least a hella lot better than the Infused on everything that they changed the vendor to in the very last PTS patch.

ZOS literally went out of their way to change the vendored gear traits to something worse than it already was.

infused is honestly not that bad. not the best, but not the worst either. be thankful you did not get something utterly useless like well-fitted or exploration. now I am not saying the vendors should not offer what is PvP wise the best, but at the same time it is not worth asking ZOS "what the ***" about.

does not mean change is not needed. the vendors have always, if i recall correctly, been sub par in cyrodiil.

The true issue is that Cyrodiil and PVE instances are very different things. Vast, open world large scale PVP vs 4 player PVE instances. PVP and PVE instances are fundamentally different games. It should be easy to understand why many do not enjoy both.

Personally, I enjoy dungeons the same way I enjoy single player games. They are fun the first time. After that, it is a painful grind. Repetition is not fun.

I'm not a bad PVE player. I've completed vMA. I didn't find it to be extraordinarily challenging. Yet my undaunted skill line is not maxed. That's how much I dislike grinding instances. In terms of ability, it would be effortless to max it. But I prefer to spend my time performing activities I enjoy.

As a PVP enthusiast, I do not appreciate the concept of spending dozens or hundreds of hours repetitiously replaying a game I do not enjoy to remain as competitive as possible in one I do enjoy. Ideally, BIS PVP items would be the rewards for success in PVP.

PVE players can laugh because this issue does not effect them equally. If BIS PVE items were bind on pickup and only available via the same level of investment in PVP, there would be widespread outrage. When PVE dungeon rewards were poor, PVE players were very loud in expressing displeasure.

All elite items should have viable PVE and PVP acquisition paths. Either that, or they should be tradable. When players can spend time doing what they actually enjoy, it is best for everyone.

All great points. It's also not like anyone can hold Alliance War skills over PvP players' heads anymore, since it's now way easier to obtain everything from the skill line. Mind, I'm all for that change, but it just shows that the PvE crowd got something they wanted, it was a huge change, and it's not at all unfair for PvP players to want a similar change. I most especially love your line about PvE and PvP acquisition paths for getting elite gear. It meshes nicely with the ZOS's design philosophy of not having separate gear for PvP and PvE.

Im playing that as well. It seems ok. I just wonder who I hear a LOT of the same complaints about that game as I do this one. Im not high enough level in BDO to get killed by player killers but I just wonder how thats going to work out. Giving bad karma didnt stop people in UO for example.

Incorrect. Every monster shoulder and head was always Infused on the PTS. The PvP sets had different traits (and were not BoP), but the BoP monster sets were always Infused on the PTS, regardless of whether it was a large or small piece.

ZOS give zero [expletive]s about the PvP community. If they did care, we'd have at least one PvP update, more resources dedicated towards PvP balance, and less bugs and broken mechanics. If they did care, they'd listen to our feedback (like on Vendors) instead of ignoring it.

All these PvEers seem to not understand how mind-numbingly boring we find the content they enjoy. I'm not knocking them for enjoying it, but they seem to not understand how insufferable the grind is for people who don't enjoy that content. It makes me not want to play the game, knowing that I have to spend a massive time sink into content I think is terrible, just to get to content that I enjoy, but that content has gotten almost no attention paid to it comparatively by ZOS over the life of the game. It's no wonder why the PvP community is on life support; at this rate theyll be very few of us left when they finally do release BGs or Arenas (No ETA).

There should be both PvE and PvP avenues to BiS gear, and more BiS gear should not be BoP. Then PvE players can sell extra gear they don't need to PvP players who want nothing to do with PvE content. I have 3 vet 16 characters, probably around 2k hours total, and not one is Undaunted 10. That's how little I enjoy the content.

    This dude does NOT.

IC A PVP UPDATE? What are you smoking bro?

Filled to the brim with 2 new dungeons and smothered in pve mobs and bosses everywhere. Nothing claimable. Not districts or anything at all. No leaderboards or objectives or ffs even a flag or area to take or fight over. Just die respawn die respawn. Nothing to actually accomplish and streamlined spawns that make for boring, tedious, repetitive gameplay. Just bc you happen to be able to kill people in IC does not make IC a "PVP DLC", it makes it a shoddy attempt at both that remains almost entirely unfinished. And that was all PVP got in 2 years of this game since launch.

    Let's count what PVE got.
Every zone besides 1 in the game.
Craglorn update. 2 trials and VDSA.
    Undaunted / daily pledges update.
    Wrothgar update. And VMSA.
And now Hews Bane update. Another trial.

    Yeah that's what I thought.

Totally a PvP update. That's why Brian Wheeler is on record stating that IC was "basically a PvE zone with PvP enabled."
