I mean, what is to say about your review - you basically do not like sneaky gameplay - so this DLC is not really for you. But those who like sneaky game play will most likely love it.

As far as your comment about the city layout goes - have you ever been to towns in the middle east or north africa - their old towns are laid out like a labyrinth of small pathways between houses and on several levels - why is that? - because it is damned hot in these areas and the closer you build houses to each other and the more levels there are, the higher is the chance that on the pathways is actual shadow and it is significantly cooler there.

The modern city of Masdar in Abu Dhabi is build like that, to have in average 10 degree C less heat in it's streets for example.

Edit: another issue are sand storms, if a town in such an area would be laid out with straight streets and like a grid, the impact of sand storms would be much higher than when it is a labyrinth where the forces of the wind are counter acted by the layout of the town.

To me @Elloa made a very good and fair review of the thief's guild. It is informative and not biased.

I love the layout of Hew's Bane. It makes sense to me that the headquarters of the Thieves Guild is in a complicated maze of a city. The game of it is finding your way around to places while avoiding the guards. So here, YMMV.

I really don't understand the criticism that you have to sneak through Thieves Guild quests. Will you be mad that you can't accomplish Dark Brotherhood quests without killing people?

And guards have to be invincible, now that there will be no player Enforcers. Even my Dunmer magicka sorc can flee from the guards. There are passive abilities to quicken the loss of bounty and heat. There's a passive to trim down how much you'll pay a fence for clearing your bounty. You get pardons that will erase all heat and X amount of your bounty.

I see your review boiling down to "This is not the sort of thing I like, so I do not like it." There I will agree. But for those of us who do like this sort of thing, ZOS has done very well indeed.
Been there, got the Molag Bal polymorph.

"... I begin to see another issue. This dlc (Thieves Guild) almost always require you to be stealthy and sneak everywhere".

After that sentence, everything what u said later lost sense.

-City is perfect for escaping (thief)
-Bounty can be cleared with pardon edicts
-A thieves guild that forces you to steal. Zenimax this sheep is unacceptable.

Well, i hope that dark brotherhood doesnt force me to kill much people :/

Main problem with this DLC is - see how fast those delve bosses go down? Yeh it looks good but unfortunately its not a single player environment so the level is all wrong.

See, it from the positive side - you help them with the burden to care for their possessions and living a long life can as well be very tedious to do, especially if they are miserable - so it is just a nice and helpful task, which is pleasing Sithis and the night mother on top of it, to help them to avoid having to go through all of this. In this DB is very supportive and discrete, the target will not even have to be scared, it is done silently and nonintrusive - a quick and skillful kill - a master piece, hopefully.

You can always tune yourself down - reset CP - use low level gear - to buff yourself to the max and then to complain that it is too easy is not any helpful, the game does not evolve around maxed out characters but the average guy/gal.

As I said in the video, it is fine that it requires you to be sneaky. That is after all, the point of the thieves guild. However, the justice system isn't fair enough for it to require you to be sneaky. Also, the game gives a huge advantage to the people who have already leveled up their sneaking abilities or is a nightblade. Pretty much if you're a character built the way I am, you'll have a bad time. Sneaking shouldn't be mandatory to get through levels so like people like me doesn't have a bad time. Sneaking should instead reward you with cooler/better stuff, as we can see this in the heists.

As for the city layout, I like the look of it don't get me wrong. The problem is the waypoint system doesn't work with it well, so you'll constantly be lost.

My issues can be fixed if they wanted to. 1). Make bounties go down WAY faster or be able to removed for free at the fence. 2). Implement a waypoint system that works with multiple levels of the game. Instead to showing you how to get to point A to C. Show us how to get to point A to B first, and then from B to C.

The OP says that there is no way to do anything when you get a bounty, unless you pay the guards and lose everything stolen.
Well, that isnt quite true. You can run, jump into the water, and ,for those who are AD,TP to the Harborage in Vulkhel Guard. Then run down the beach where there are no guards and enter the thieves guild there.Pay the small fine, and lose nothing.
Also, hunt those troves to get those Leniency edicts.Save up a bunch,THEN do the guild quests that involve pick pocketing.
    :)
The thing I dont like is when it tells you that you have 75% chance of picking a pocked, says "easy",but you get caught outright.Even though you are careful.

I've not watched your video (yet) so I can not speak about it. But i just want to react to this quote.
I've tested Thieves Guild on PTS with a premade character template (Dragonknight Archer) that had 0 lvl in Legerdemain, and 0 lvl in Thieves Guild. I'm not a sneaky player usually and I've done much quest by being not very sneaky. Its totally doable. The difficulty fit any sort of character, there is no need to have bonuses in Thief/Sneaky abilities to be able to complete easily the quests.
The heist is another story, obviously. But its the "Thief endgame" so that should be challenging.

There are a lot of heists in The Thieve's Guild. The dailies are a bit rough,as you are timed. If you kill someone you lose time on the clock. However, you can still do the heist. You just dont get a good a reward. I do them every day.I ignore the clock. XD

Yea hers isn't biased, she had a secret meet and greet with the devs prior to this video that she wont divulge about, and launched a campaign to kill the pvp aspect of the justice system....
If his is biased (for saying that he doesn't like sneaking) then hers is for saying she likes trials and thats why you should get it.

FYI - Not everyone can do trials.... everyone can sneak (i just do it very badly like the OP, but just terrible at it.)

I prefer his because he says the same things she does, just faster.

Im a templar like him. It is Possible as you say, however it is more expensive. It wouldnt call it "easily completing" I would call it frustrating. FYI legerdemain doesnt give you really any sneak bonuses, just decreased stamina cost for sneaking.

I like the theives guild - dont get me wrong, Im just no good at the sneaking aspect ;)

I stated my opinion about Elloa's video, not about the person or any other background you might consider - her video has actual non-biased content, where she is just systematically showing off what is in the DLC - her conclusion is her opinion of course and not everybody has to share it or be in agreement with it - but the informative part of her video was just that - informative and not opinionated.

I love this DLC. I didn't have nearly as much of a hard time as OP seems to have. OP are you trying to sneak in heavy armor? It just seems like you don't want to be a thief. Naturally, you won't like the content.

I did get irritated by unkillable guards a couple of times. Worse than that, I don't like not being able to open any doors once a guard is after you. Sometimes you can't escape. If you sneak into a home, you have no idea if you will be seen or not. If you have bad luck and there is a guard there, it can be a death trap. But that only happened to me once.

I did this content on my Templar as well. But you at least need to make an effort and put on some medium armor.

This was not a secret meeting. I was replacing someone from the french website JeuxOnline as I can speak english and french. You can see the result video of this meeting I believe that having the chance to speak directly to the Devs gave me more insight about the DLC and how it has been developed rather than less.

From where did you get that I launched a campaign to kill the PVP aspect of the Justice System?!! I'm even not against it? My position can be seen in this video-answer to lefty Lucy video where I basically agree with him. I've never been against the PVP of the Justice System, I'm just against it to be ENFORCED on every players that want to enjoy the justice System. ESO is NOT a PVP game. it's a game that include PVP for those that enjoy that type of gameplay. We need to remember that there is no PVP / PVE server and that some players hate PVP, are affraid of PVP, are bad at PVP, or enjoy PVP only when they are in the mood of PVP. For that reasons, PVP need to be a conscious choice. But as Lefty lucy and I explained in differents ways, there is plenty of possibilities to add a PVP aspect to the Justice System without enforcing it on players.

I understand very well than my videos are not pleasing everyone, especially as I've a very define style of presenting them, in a very calm way that can irritate some viewers that prefer something more dynamic. But that's a question of taste and there is nothing to discuss.
However, I do not appreciate false and unjustified accusations.

Hew's Bane is too complicated? Quest tracker doesn't lead you right to the place you should go? That's what's amazing about the DLC, finally you have to explore and learn an area.

Why does everything have to be handed to people on silver platter? Why does everyone need to complete everything in 1 day? You guys are ruining my genre... go play Candy Crush or something ffs :/

Yes I am trying to sneak in heavy armor. Here is the thing. Why should I change my play style, one that I have played through the entire game with, just to be able to play this dlc with less frustration?

Did I have to use magic when playing the mages guild? No. Did I have to be a melee fighter to do the fighters guild? I am but I didn't have to. The point is, you have to sneak to do the thieves guild. It isn't an option, you have to. And for people who aren't good at sneaking or don't have the neccesary perks to be good at it, you'll likely have a hard time enjoying this as much as someone who does.
