You haven't seen it all until you PUG with a heavy armor, heavy attacking Bow user for Vet White Gold Tower. He stands in the fire as if it isn't there since the healer will heal him through it for a bit. He holds onto those heavy attacks so he can make sure to aim for The Adjudicater's head. Proceeded to get kicked after second wipe.

    Stopped PUGing IC dungeons afterward.

I'll take bad pugs through anything except: VCOA VICP VWGT VDSA

Good puggies are to be treasured and I do my best to rescue them from their lives as pugs by recruiting them to my pve guild so they can atleast have the option of getting a decent core group going.

As for the bad puggies. Yes I'd love to educate them and be the good guy in this arrangement...but To many times have I invested in them, given them hours of my time, and sometimes even funds to bring them up to where they need to be, only to see them disappear or become elitist rage quitters because they can't understand how people can be as bad as they once where. Not doing it again, and lesson learned.

The key to these dungeons is getting a core group together. once you have a core group that can adapt and use synergies...everything is a cake walk. Till then tho... it is trial and error...and that is the problem with bringing a bad puggie up.

Agreed! I had a light armor magic DK using a bow who was slotted healer and tank. We made it 40 soul gems later.

Yeah, sometimes it can be hard. On my toplist are
    - Healers without shards who just standing around, spam a heal from time to time and don´t do any dps
    - Bow only users, especially snipe spammers even in trash groups(damn I hate that one NB)
    - As mentioned the WB spammers

    and

    - the I am a Healer/DPS/Tank just to find a group guy (in normal dungeons I can live with that, but not in vet ones...)

I agree. Part of the reason I like to pug. After running a dungeon so many times, most the fun comes from when things are going horribly wrong.

Of course watching some of it is still funny. Had a tank that spent the whole dungeon using the dual wield flurry ability. I spent most the time wondering if you aren't going to do your job why don't you at least use the best abilities to not do your job? Get that steel tornado out and go to town! Then I figured he was probably leveling his dual wield...

Don't forget healers who only spam shards when both dps are magicka.
Dps that use resto staff for heavy attacks to regen magicka
Pugs that fail to understand some basic mechanics after the 10th time (2nd vet FG boss tether for example)
Healers who use steadfast ward or ward ally.
Tanks who run the boss around the entire room right after we drop ground ultimate
Pugs who run around constantly in boss fights instead of keeping positions.
DPS who switch to killing adds when boss is at 5%
Even experienced healers who start jesus beaming the boss at 40% forgetting to still heal

Too funny - I've had good experiences with PUGs in the GF so far. Though I have only been doing the silver pledges and barring the occasional misstep where we all stupidly wipe once they are always successful. I'm afraid of trying gold pledges even with good guildies let alone strange adventurers who may not be forgiving of my ignorance.
Celebrate for life is short but sweet for certain.

    PUG is fun!!

Before getting Skoria helm I experienced some quality time getting annoyed resurrecting people during Ash Titan... And then I found out that I can quite easily solo him. Then guys can feel the salt, specially after people complain that I select DPS/Tank/Heal in group finder - which is not rocket science for magicka sorc, just adjust your setup to suit your group...

P.S. there was a magicka sorc guy that claimed he had almost 4500 spell damage with 25000 magicka... My damage with 3200 sd was 40% higher. There really are some super stupid builds, but you can't blame people for trying.

I only pugged a few times. The first two times were great. The final and last time there was this crazy Templar that swore up and down that anyone in the group who was a vampire would cause the whole group to fail the dungeon. This was back before v16 was introduced. It was scaled all the way up to v14 (to her because it was scaled to her for some dumb reason) and the rest of us were still 'new'. As in we didn't have BiS gear and were still learning. After that, I just ran groups with friends. That was a whole lot of nope.avi.

I never use WB in dungeons. I've played with people who just uses that and we still end up beating WGT, 2 stamblades, one healer, one tank. It is not ideal, but we still beat it.

My set up in dungeons as a stamblade:
Dual Wield - Steel Tornado, Killers Blade, Camo Hunter, Surprise Attack, Flying Blade, Flawless Dawnbreaker.
Bow - Arrow Barrage, Relentless Focus, Razor Caltrops, Poison Injection, Resolving Vigor, Soul Tether or Veil of Blades. I don't have Meteor on this character yet. This set up works well in dungeons.

It could be possible that people haven't unlocked Caltrops yet.

You're overestimating PVE content if you think that you cannot tank, dps and heal with the same char.

The only thing you need to change is gear and skills (maybe mundus if you want to optimize dps).
This only works with magicka builds ofc.

    Okay, I'll play.

    DON'T:
Run your DPS ahead of the group like your a** is on fire and engage every mob before everyone's ready. I'm sorry this is your 17th run and you really want a helmet without Well-fitted, but chill the **** out.

But it feels great to drag pugs kicking and screaming across the finish line. I feel like my tank is the best class to drag a bad pug as long as the group has communication. If the group has no coms then my Magblade or Sorc DPS is probably better.

With this point I mean DPS Players who mark that they can do all to find a group but don´t change their gear or skills.
For example a dps sorc was our tank in vet crypt of hearts for the gold pledge. He didn´t change gear etc and ofc we fail at the last boss, cause he couldn´t aggro the mobs needed for the gold pledge and they were attacking everyone all over the place.

At the end we just kill all, that was no problem, but doing the gold pledge without a tank in this case was not possible
