How much experience would doing orsinium give me?

Currently about 10% off vet 7 on my magblade, basically got him to around level 30 and have been in pvp ever since. Wondering if i did the osrinium quest line, doing the side quests i come across as well, how much exp would i get, how many vet levels? Is it like other zones where doing the zone would equal a vet level or is it higher?

Just curious because i really can't be bothered grinding. I'm a DC and the sewers is full of gankers, in groups of 8...

Don't know, that's such a hard figure to pull out of thin air. Just play it for the content and enjoy the XP as a bonus IMO. That's how I approach everything in this game.

I'm just generally sick of pve, just decided to do it just as a change to grinding, really not in the mood to grind again, do far too much of it.

If you don't want to grind because of gankers you could grind in Old Orsinium public dungeon. I'm not sure about the XP questing in Orsinium gives though.

I never grind in any game. Unnecessary repetition kills enjoyment for me, so I couldn't tell you a thing about it. If you're sick of PVE, why even bother asking about Orsinium? Respectfully, it seems like you're already biased to not like it.

If you do the storyline, some of the side quests, the dungeons, and a few WB and/or Delve dailies, you can gain a vet level pretty easy. If you want to just grind, do the 2 public dungeons.

I've done enough of pve, the quests are pretty much the same in all zones. I'm not biased it's just an opinion, it's not like i'm just avoiding pve without trying it once, it's because I've done enough to know that i will no longer enjoy it very much. The only aspect of the game i currently like is pvp.

I took my then vet 15 healer through wrothgar main quest plus a two of the delves, a few side quests both public dungeons, 4 world bosses and 3 IC dailys and got from 15 to 16.
( there may have been a small amount of side tracking helping my friends, but really doubt it added a lot)

Yes that's my point. You realize what you like and what you don't like... so I'm asking why are you concerned with Orsinium when you know it's just more PvE? You know that you're in all likelihood not going to enjoy it.

If you aren't a fan of grinding and have already done the quests to the point of instant boredom there isn't many other options. You could keep killing people in the sewer to increase the chance of some NPC XP.

Another option is completing the normal dungeons if you haven't already, you can do the majority of them solo and it gets you closer to mettle. I did that for a day on an alt and didn't realize until about halfway through how much XP I was getting from wiping all the trash mobs.

I usually just bite the bullet and grind eventually, but overall it takes me forever to level an alt because of pure disinterest in the process of doing so.

EDIT: If I were to do my grinding it would be in Orsinium, especially with the mats being abundant.

Run around Old Orsinium at 3am. You'll be battle-levelled and the xp flows. It's not a secret though so waiting till 3am will ensure you get the place to yourself. Not sure how you feel about spending crowns but I like to use an xp scroll in there too :)

It's literally the same as every other comparably sized zone in the game as far as XP is concerned. Why would you expect epic exp?

Sadly for PVE, I agree with roughly two perhaps three veteran levels.
I say sadly because despite the changes to Cadwell's gold and silver questlines and the announced freedom from static forced questing patterns.... they secretly still make you do them if you don't want to simply grind mobs over and over.

Luckily they are removing vet ranks with the next DLC, so that won't be much of a problem. I look forward to that.

Agreed Dimensional. I believe the OP was talking about currently unfortunately.
I suppose you could bench the alt for 3-4 months and return when ranks are removed with the DB Dlc.

Cyrodiil daily quests are great for levelling up vet ranks btw. They involve relatively small amounts of killing mobs and with rapid maneuvers you can get through an entire quest hub in 20-35 mins and that's 9 quests.

Even doing all the daily's it's barely half a vet level, if you don't get interupted.

Also dc don't have a buff campaign so it's a pain to get to most of the hubs. Like i said i kind of wanted to level outside of cyrodiil, getting ganked while pve is just annoying, pve and pvp should never of been mixed in the first place.

I suppose i'll just go and do orsinium, get a few skyshards, get a few mage skill books. Then see what level i'm at then grind like a level a day or something.

Whatever you need, it's not enough. Nothing in this game gives you enough xp to avoid feeling like you're slogging through vet ranks (if you've already got a max level character).

Doing -everything- in orsinium took my just-gotten-V14 templar alt to V16.

The story to V15½, and the public dungeons and world boss dailies for the rest...

I was maybe a quarter, perhaps a little less, into vr14 when I did it on my main and hit vr16 before I ever finished the main quest.
