heyewe✭✭✭I thought it was a mistake that I've been getting V14 undaunted blue and purple set gear from the veteran pledges, tried to put in a ticket...not to rage, but just to say "..did you know that the gold and silver keys are spawning.." And I got an error on my ticket submission. "Try again later" Ugh.

If you were pre-VR15, you would get these Undaunted Bastion/Unweaver/Infiltrator/etc. sets at your level from the chests.
If you were VR15/16, you would get generic non-set decon/vendor gear.
After TG:
If you were pre-VR15, you would get these Undaunted Bastion/Unweaver/Infiltrator/etc. sets at your level from the chests.
If you were VR15/16, you would get these sets as well, except maxed at VR14.
I don't understand why anyone's even complaining about this. Before the update, if you were VR15/16, you weren't getting any set items (not counting shoulders, of course). Just generic decon/vendor stuff. Now, you are still getting decon/vendor stuff, except it's VR14 and part of sets that nobody wants anyway. It's not like they replaced any good stuff with trash. They just swapped one form of trash and replaced it with a slightly less trashy form of trash.

I think people are upset because someone at ZoS took the time to update the chest loot tables to include these sets... which was a colossal waste of time and resources as it accomplished basically nothing if they are still v14. News flash ZoS, you killed any desire to want less than v16 when you created the gear gap from v14 - v16 with the IC update but you still insist on pushing v14 and v15 garbage at capped players for some reason. This is not filler gear. It's not "use til we find something better" gear. It's decon fodder plain and simple and I liked the system from the previous update better when I got 1 - 3 pieces of AT LEVEL decon gear instead of 1 piece of v14 trash.
Simple way to improve it? Scale the undaunted sets to v16 for a start. Include jewelry for all 3 sets. Have a small chance for each piece to be purple. Make sure to keep it bind on equip so there is some sort of potential to sell/trade your decent items. Max-tier writs require 1 piece of VR15 gear, 2 pieces of VR9 gear (except for one of the blacksmithing days, when it's 1pc/4pc). Now that Wrothgar and Hew's Bane only drop VR15-16 mats, I'm drowning in stacks and stacks of the max level stuff while daily writs are fast depleting my reserves of VR9-14 mats.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

Exactly.
There are many, MANY, awesome sets in game with great synergies with other ones, that are not used because they're not scaled to the end game.
I've got a DK Pyromage, and Set of the Sun scales only to VR12, so, guess what, later she's going to run in the same crafted gear as 90% of game population uses.

I've received one item that was worth anything, the vast majority are garbage.

Toast_STS✭✭✭✭Just started rocking the 5pc undaunted infiltrator on my Mag Sorc. With the changes to lightning staff this set is pretty sweet. I wish it was v16 but it may be too good then.
