Is Chain Lightning Visually Glitched?

The synergy from the sorc ultimate Charged Atronach Chain Lightning is not showing any visuals for me when i activate it playing as a tank, i do remember that it should show a blast of lightning when you activate it and only now i noticed this(after getting back playing the game after a few months hiatus) and i'm wondering if it's graphic issue on my end or if it is visually glitched.
